Hey guys,

Just making myself known, I will be a new Subaru owner in less than a week. I ordered a silver '03 SE Sedan with a stick. This is the first car I have ever owned with a standard, so already I am looking forward to it just on this fact alone. Add in the fact that I am getting a great looking AWD sedan, with a bunch of options at no extra cost, and only slightly over invoice, I'm stoked!

I haven't owned a Japanese car in a while, but after too many years of dissapointment with the lack of improvement in the department of affordable/reliable German cars with decent power, I couldn't pass up a great offer like the Legacy. Don't get me wrong, my VW and Mercedes were fun cars, but in order to get a new model with decent equipment, I'd have to shell out money I do not have {Plus, reliability is a constant issue-$4,000 for my '91 190E this year alone was not expected}.

One thing that I love about any car I drive is its 'quirkiness' factor {I'd be a great canidate for a Saab!} The Subaru really scores on all bases with me, and man, nothing comes close to the sound of that flat four!

I won't be modding it for awhile-the main reason I went from all used cars in the past to a new car is for a warranty. However, I would like to do I/E/H in a few years, and suspension is a must. Can't wait to slam this thing on the great looking basketweave 16s!

All in all, I am looking forward to this immensely. Hope I can meet up with some of you guys this summer! I'll post some pics when I pick her up!

welcome aboard! i wish i had a new legacy, let alone a stick. good luck with it, they're great cars. as far as your warranty goes, there are a lot of things you can do that will not void it. there's plenty of people on here that could tell you more about that.

Good to know about the warranty. I'd def love to throw an intake on. I got to imagine this thing sounds pretty bad arse with one of those. I know, I know-I'm going on about the sound. But for a guy coming from a solid line of 8-Valve inline 4s, I loved driving this thing. Oooof, got three very long days coming up....

intake sounds great with a boxer engine. go for it. i have a rallitek which i really like. its really loud and good sounding plus it definately helps out in the high end; there's others like aem, injen, etc. i definately don't think this will void your warranty, if anything just keep the old airbox that comes with it; that way you can put it back on should you ever need to.

Good to hear. Yeah, I'd definitely keep the stock airbox around-always fooled the guys at the VW dealer when I went in for warranty work! I've seen the Rallitek one-where are the AEM and Injen intakes available? Thanks alot.

BTW-I went to 'stare' at my car today. I find out tommorow when the parts for my added options come in-I will either pick her up Friday afternoon or Monday afternoon. I'm hoping for the former!

I just put an Injen on my 2000 GT Sedan.... I got the cold air extension to go with it, and there is a lot of difference. It was a mass easy install, the only hard part was taking off the stock intake.... there is like 30lbs of plastic on that damn thing. Anyways, it cost me $230, That may sound pricey but injen has a great rep, and I was able to get the tubing in anodized red. My vote is to go with the injen.... seriously, you wont be dissapointed in the sound

i got it from big boyz toys in arizona... I wouldnt go to them again.... just go to injen.com and a little banner will popup and ask if you want to buy injen now... it will give you a list of dealers,,, just click one and order it up!! they come in blue, red and polished....
