Does anyone know if a wrx catback will fit a 2003 rs? Specifically Borla's system (im putting in borla headers and would like to have their catback. a friend of mine has their catback on his cougar and it sounds great)

it will fit after a few slight modifications. you'll have to take it to a shop to have it installed. i think there's some cutting/welding that has to be done. nothing too exstensive though.

Just to warn you, his car has a smooth running small displacement V6... you have a relatively smooth large displacement flat 4. While you may still like how your Borla sounds, it won't sound like his.

EDIT: and yes, the WRX can will fit after one hanger gets rewelded.

i realize the engine difference will yield a different sound. but either way i've heard good things about all of borla's produts.


how is cobb's ss catback? 575 seems somewhat pricey to me.. or is it worth it.

A few people on the boards have posted positive things baout the Borla catback. Borla headers are another story- no two people on here agree about them.

The Cobb is as close to worth that much as any other system. It's almost the same as a Stromung single tip (Stromung makes it in fact). I would save a buck though by just getting the axle back and having a midpipe custom fabbed.
