Just trying to gauge some interest on this forum regarding Carbon Fiber pieces for the 2008 WRX Sedan. The Hatch has been getting a great deal of love from the aftermarket, and up until today, it appears the Sedan has been somewhat neglected. That changes today, my friends!

we are undertaking the task of bringing a Carbon Fiber Sedan Trunk Lid to market within the coming months. Immediately following that effort, we will be producing a version with an integrated duck-bill spoiler. We also have plans to develop a recessed, triple-vented Carbon Fiber Hood, Carbon Fiber Scoop, and a Carbon Fiber Roof Overlay.

As some of you may already know, Treble Racing is still under development and we are working hard to get ready to launch. We would like this line of high-quality Carbon Fiber pieces to serve as our introduction to the community. Once we are prepared to offer a group buy, we will become forum sponsors and create a separate thread. At this point, I am just trying to gauge some interest and see what other parts you guys may be interested in having done in Carbon Fiber.

Please post any questions, ideas, bumps, etc... It's all welcome!

Iam down for the rear truck lid in carbon with the duck bill. But, I think Ive seen the other stuff you listed already for sale by Seibon.

How easy is the roof to install. My friend's M3 had to rivet'ed in and they recommend a roll cage because of the chassis stiffness issue. Not sure if that matters for Subies.

Our product cannot be considered a direct competitor with Seibon. Our retail arm sells Seibon, so we support their efforts in full.

The Treble branded pieces will be accomplished using vacuum infusion technology, not wet laid carbon, made right here in the U.S.A. This process provides a smooth finish without bubbles and results in a significantly lighter piece. Think of it as being in between hand-laid wet carbon and dry carbon for a much more reasonable price. Every major Carbon Fiber piece we sell will also come with a free maintenance kit, including wax and microfiber towels. As long as the piece is properly maintained per our recommendations, our finish is guaranteed for 5 years. And of course, fitment is guaranteed.

The roof overlay is simply that, an overlay. We will not require any removal of the roof skin itself. It basically attaches on using double sided tapes that will be provided. This modification in particular will be more for cosmetic appearance rather than a performance upgrade.

If anyone has any other ideas or suggestions for Carbon pieces, please feel free to express your interest and ask any questions you may have.

We are extremely excited to bring these pieces to public. Thanks for your time.

Any chrome deletes would be nice like above the licence plate and even the skinny chrome strip below the windows.

Front lip (I think they are different if you have the Aero package)

Rear diffuser like the hatchbacks? Maybe something to replace the plastic insert above the exhaust.

The chrome strip will not exist on our trunk. The license plate light housing will be integrated into the trunk. That way, if you purchase our trunk, you won't have to worry about painting or replacing your factory strip.

Thanks for the suggestions!

The integrated spoiler will be very similar to the trunks shown below. However, we are shooting for a slightly more aggressive design with the spoiler shooting a little further out. We feel this style will add an aggressive and distinct look to the rear end of the Sedan.

Prototype images of the first ever Carbon Fiber Trunk Lid for the 08-09 WRX by Treble Racing!!!

These images show the raw, vacuum-infused product. These are not production ready, or even gloss coated! Expect final product to have an even smoother, glass-like surface and a high gloss shine!

have i ever told you that i love you for posting this?!?!?!?

personally i would just love to see any types of body kits done for the car. doesnt even need to be carbon fiber because the ratio of parts for wagon to sedan is a bout a 10:1 ratio in my experience.

Thanks for the feedback! We're still finalizing the piece. But we should be running an introductory group buy in a 3g WRX specific forum in about 2 weeks.

For the moment in time, our focus will remain on the Sedan as there is a full line up of carbon fiber parts available for the hatchbacks already. However, some parts we produce may be cross-friendly for both models, such as a hood and interior trim pieces.

wide body kit would be cool. I feel like the sedan doesnt have a very aggressive feel to it. I know I would be willing to purchase one. Whether its carbon fiber or not.
