View Full Version : New STI-A LINE COMING OUT IN JAPAN
Theres a new STI-A line coming out in Japan, and its going to be automatic. And it has a paddle-shift too. They said that all whats with the STI will be in the STI-A line with the exception of the Brembo brakes. The news is that for now they are not going to bring it here in the states.Oh i almost forgot, the power is still 296 hp.This is going to be a nice addition to Subaru STI line-up.
hamburgl3r 03-09-2009, 02:44 PM So its just an auto trans STi???
yes, autostick-5 speed with 296 hp.And it doesnot have brembo brakes. Not like the 09 hatchback which is 300 hp and brembo brakes. But it is still cool, this is what i wanted for my daily driver. When u get into traffic it wont be pist-off w/it.

You don't really need to "work for subaru" to figure that one out
A) thats how you make more money as a business, by attracting more customers
B) they said they we're trying to broaden their market, which was why they watered down the WRX.
i Feliciano JR 04-20-2009, 01:54 PM yeah i know BUDDY i was just saying what my friend told me and where he works..sorry for the crime??

I'm just saying it's not any kind of special insider info. No need for an attitude.

1SIKBRU 04-23-2009, 04:49 PM An auto sti would be pretty sweet, except that I doubt you will be able to add much in the way of power. I had this problem with my 07 GTI. The dual stage clutch could only handle a little over stock power, so it could only handle stage 1 tuning (approx 220 whp).
It took 3 years from the DSG first coming out for a company to have an upgraded clutch for the car.
Does anyone know what the specs of the new auto trans are going to be?
Maybe what kinda power it'll handle?
JamesGRrallye 06-09-2009, 03:46 PM They just keep watering it down every year dont they....
daived 07-29-2009, 02:52 AM a bit late, but this is news to me. i guess this means the wrx will be the only impreza that comes only in three pedal config.
