K&N airfilters?

I replaced my paper air filter on 98rs,with a K&N #33-2075.soon after I started to get a hesation at around 2000 rpm. all obd codes were good. so I looked at the K&N filter close and it does not fit tite. I called K&N, and they said we make no air filter for your 98rs..I dont recall where I found this part#, so I put back the old airfilter, and it runs just fine. anyone have any Ideas? koolblue does not list one, does amsoil? thanks.LK

I just bought a K&N for my '98 L, K&N 3320312- $44.99 from Advance Auto Parts. I've talked to others, their's fit. Well, mine didn't. I took a utility knife and trimmed part of the rubber that slides down inside the airbox to make it fit. I think my airbox had warped or something because it was a little out of shape, but not much. Of note, you won't need the two little foam strips w/ adhesive on the back. Those are for Nissan/Infiniti vehicles.

it is a very tight fit but they do make them for 95L trimming it should have been done but I got all the clips on so oh well

I'll try to find the number for you
