Relocating to bay area from NY - Tuning questions - 91 octane wtf bbq

copy paste from nazioc.

As the title says, moving to cali next month. Car is an 06 WRX, catless tbe, intake, headers, up pipe, txs topmount and AP v2. Runs on 93 only now with the OTS map (not tuned) What numbers can I expect with these mods on 91 octane with a tue? Keeping in mind it's not tuned, I pulled 237whp 273 tq on 93. Also what kind of turbos are you running out there? I was gonna go with a blouch td0518g and EWG but I cancelled that. Tuner has a new evoIII 16g in stock right now. Thinking it's just a bit more aggressive than a vf39 or something which is all I really need. Any idea what I should expect out of it on 91? uhmmm that's about it for now. Thanks in advance for any info.

(target is a modest 300+ whp / 360+ tq)

prolly a bit less, in the 20's less whp? iono ballpark figure im throwing out there lol. small 16g with tune and supporting will prolly get u there np. You have injectors, a fuel pump and a pulley? Fyi you prolly wont need an EGW till like 350+whp lol.

the 16g wont get u above 300whp..

a td0518g with meth will get u around 320whp.. the 18g is more likely ur ticket to 300 who club..

Assuming you intend to drive your car on the streets, you might also consider that every car brought into CA that was previously registered in another state has to pass a smog test, regardless of mfr date. I went through this with my 2005 WRX wagon a few years back.

Your list of mods will def not pass visual inspection and the catless TBE/UP/headers are unlikely to pass the sniffer....unless you 'know a guy.'

Yeah I was planning ewg with a bigger turbo here in NY on 93... Man that sucks. That stupid 2 octane really makes a difference. That 16g would easily make 320whp on 93 without meth. Ah well I guess I got my answer. Poor car. Injectors are 560cc stock. I'll go to 750s only if I really think I need them. Fuel pump I have to get too, that's not a problem.
