does sti blank key work for 07 sti? don't we have some sort of chip installed in our keys for security purposes?

there is a trick to that chip, lol there are some jimmy rigged ways to get it to work

It will, but yes the chip needs to be near the ignition at the same time. People have gotten creative with key chains that hold the chip or just carry the stock key too.

the chip needs to be very close to the ignition, a buddy of mine took the chip out of one of his keys and siliconed it to the ignition area and works perfectly.

doesnt really help with the whole security thing, but i guess that works
