I am just curious how many of you like or hate the idea of Palin for President, I mean Vice President. Do you want a soccer/hockey mom running this country?

Where is the "I'd hit it" option?

well this is not about dating Palin or screwing her. This is about voting for her or even wanting her in the office. i think even if you want to "hit her", you will a way to have her mouth shut. she has an annoying voice, don't you think?

I would suggest waiting till after the debate instead.

I voted today since I saw the poll today. Maybe my views will change after the debate, but I doubt it and even so - if it's okay for politicians to drastically change their stand on situations then I don't feel so bad about changing my mind over new information. :D

Personally I wouldn't be surprised if Palin makes an ass of herself on there, but at the same time I know nothing about Biden. At this point that is a huge plus for him since he, unlike Palin, currently has the potential to not suck.

She did well in her govenor debates which I watched. Katie couric kinda attacked her with off the wall questions which she will not face in the debate. I dont think she was a good choice for vp and I think it was a political move for mccain to sway female voters and try to grab mrs Clintons voters.

To cover the other topic I'd hit it as long as she was wearing makeup.......

Shes a moron... been in hiding the last week or so getting schooled on politics. She was picked as a political ploy to try and steal some of the woman voters and some of Hilary's voters.

Yeah, it is hard to imagine a grown human with a fully functioning brain could watch all the interviews with her and still want to take actions to get her into the White House. I seriously wonder how someone could watch her and think "yeah, I could see her in the White House." It worries me.

My thoughts...mccain could have chosen someone more respected, more qualified and knowledgeable in foreign affairs, not to mention reforming. Ms. Olympia Snowe would have been a much better choice as a woman VP.

The point is you can't have it both ways. You can't say she's has executive experience, well qualified, yadda yadda yadda.... then go back to saying she's only got 5 weeks experience so she exceeded all expectations and held her own against a very seasoned senator.

Edit: The dems also didn't make it a selling point that Obama was a community organizer among other things. That was made into an issue from the other campaigns calling him out on it. And it still isn't any kind of rally point for Obama's campaign as far as I can see. But as far as Palin went, the McCain campaign basically went on the offensive when bringing up Palin trying to use her experience as a selling point, not in defense of her character.

context?

People forget that Biden was running for pres against Obama before he was picked as the VP candidate. Of coarse he was going to put down Obama, he would have been dumb not to.

But now that he is the VP pick, he has to eat his words and talk his way out of the things he said. These quotes aren't often in the news because:

1) Sadly most media leans left to some degree and you can tell most anchors/pundants are looking for Obama to win

2) Palin has made a much bigger story because she's an agressive funny talking woman from Alaska who we know little about.... and she's nice to look at too (remember that sex sells)

Palin makes a better story than Biden most of the time. that's why his anti-Obama quotes haven't been engraved into our heads.

You mean "voter" fraud. And there hasn't been any voter fraud this year. Only homeless people writing in fake names for fake people who can't even fake vote.

Banks aren't coerced by one senator. Banks can buy and sell senators.

And I don't even think Palin would be dumb enough to call him "anti-American".

And last time I checked, Barack was born her, can't be pres without that little detail.

I don't like bull****, please stop spreading it. There's are plenty of valid short comings of Barack that don't have be derogatory, hyperbole, or just outright baseless. Pick one of those.

Superglue WRX

Of course not when you're blinded by your faith liberalism and all it represents.

And what should sway people? What should we be blinded by instead? Where should our faith lie?

Why should we listen to a party that can only promote itself by simply demonizing anything that has an opposing views? The Republican party hasn't said anything it hasn't already said in 2000 and 2004.

Tax cuts for corporations, free trade, small government. It was all preached before. But now government is huge, spends way too much, couldn't finish two separate wars, and job losses. I would hardly say that anyone is blinded by liberalism. I would say that things need to be fixed and there's no reason to trust the party that was in power when it broke to come back and fix it.

People are scared of continuing similar republican policies for another 4 years when so much is at steak. It's hard to blame anyone who feels that way. Neither Gagan (joltdudeuc) or I are liberals. But that's what people assume any time we make an argument against anything involving the GOP. It's amazing how fasts concervatives will jump up and cry liberal. Especially after how well the concervatives have done lately. So you can go ahead and put the "L" word back in your holdster and use it on someone else.

I won't speak for Gagan, but I'm a moderate independent. I don't think either candidate has the ability to pull us out of this mess we're in. However, he and I both agree that McCain hasn't even come close to convincing us that he will be able to do things differently. Barack doesn't have a lot of things going for him policy-wise, but he does offer two things. Policies that differ from the GOP, and no Palin attached to them.
