I've got H&R's, never heard any sqeaking even when settling.

I have this problem too. The advice I received was to spray the springs with WD-40. That worked for awhile, but I had to do it every few days. Now it doesn't seem to help at all. Someone also told me to buy a length of fuel line hose, split it down the middle, and put it over the top of the spring (like a rubber jacket around the metal) for a more permanent fix. I haven't tried that yet, sounds like a PITA since you have to remove and reinstall the spring. I'm considering just going to a different spring like the STi. Good luck and let us know if you find a solution.

yeah i knew i wasn't the only one. i am also considering another spring as well, but then again a complete strut swap isn't completely out of the question either!

Hey Mr. Fitzwell (if that is your real name) do you have any pics of your car with the springs?

....and I used to have the same problem with my Mazda, I think what causes this is when turning it puts alot of presure on the top hat and strut, so it wants to twist, well this causes the spring to kind of adjust, thus making a sqeaking or poping sound, I think the fuel line trick is the best bet.

Okay that's my dumb logic and 2cents
Thanks ~B

WRX-U- That sounds right. When I went to have my tires rotated a month or two ago I noticed the top of my right rear spring had come out of its perch. I figured that was what was causing the noise all along and had it reseated at an alignment shop. Well, the noise is still there, but if your explanation is correct, that's probably how it worked loose.
