so i was given a a turbo xs stage 2 piggy back ecu, and im only running on a catback exhaust and bov..i installed the piggyback and i noticed a significant increase in throttle response and overall power, however my CEL turned on..does anybody know why this would happen? everything is running fine just a little more backfire then usual, could this have anything to do with me not running an aftermarket downpipe? any info would be great thanks!

 

i wouldn't run a stage 2 map without an aftermarket uppipe and downpipe. among other things, you run the risk of burning up the cat in your uppipe and having it wreck your turbo. throw in the bov and you're just asking for trouble.
