Question for anybody who knows. So I have an 08 WRX 5 door. And im curious if 08 STI struts will fit on my WRX. I have Swift Springs now but still looking for firmer ride but dont really feel like going with a coil over right now or ever dunno yet. Thanx for your time and your brain picking : banana :

i don't see why not, same chassis. it's like taking GDB STI struts and putting them on a GDB wrx, totally doable

yeah that's what I thought but I wasn't 100 percent sure. I'm waiting for Justin from capital to get un sick so I can ask him cause nobody over there seemed to know. and yeah primus I do have sways but I'm looking for a stiffer ride in the spring and strut not in the body roll that's fine but the bounce after a really good bump is still no bueno

if you get a stiffer spring/strut combo its only going to get bouncier :suspicious:

lemme explain more what I wanna do is I wanna make the cadillac air ride go away when I go over the big whoops on like the freeway or the city streets. regular bumps arnt a problem but the big multi dips on the freeway get a lil to much at freeway speeds. so I'm think if I put the STI strut on there will it bring me back to level faster?

it'll stiffen up your suspension, so i would assume you'd lose that cadi ride. you should go for it if you have the means of getting the parts, you can't lose out. or just go test drive an 08 STI and see how you like the ride. if it's too soft, then you know not to bother with all the work of replacing your suspension.

Thanx Mokeone iv driven the STI and i think that would be an ideal set up for everyday driving and some aggressive goodness =) yeah ill just get the parts from the dealership or something cant be too much for struts. oh yeah and your N1 looks great and sounds great Mokeone! Definatly gonna get it when i get the ends.

I was told by a tech at my local subaru dealer that I can ride on my STi pinks with the stock struts, is this not true?

no need to change your struts if you get the pinks.

Well if you change the struts and you put in a matched spring its kinda sorta like having a coilover... not as rough as a ride but a much firmer sportier ride. I know somebody is going to be like no its not a coilover. but i said something like one. Im still gonna look into it and if its not gonna break the bank then ill do it and let everybody know.
