I didn't know how to gauge how many people would be interested in playing in this league so I put a limit to 12 players.

i'm not sure if people want to put a little wager down or anything (giftcards etc)..

this is a Point System league.. meaning for the 17 weeks of regular season games you will be tallied points based on who you start. At week 17 the person with the most points wins. Playoffs are not counted.

There will be a LIVE draft also conducted on August 31 Sunday at 4:30pm for all members registered by that time.

I play it and I really like it...hell I don't even like baseball. Basic understanding is that you are the GM of the team and control everything worth controlling. Check it out ya'll because the first season is free which is what I took advantage of.

Yeah they pretty much make me so sad that I can hardly watch them play because I know somehow they're gonna choke. The funny thing is that the fans here are super hardcore about the team even when they had that decade of sucking. We also have Ohio State over here too so you can tell how crazy it gets when football season starts.

Hmmm.... thinking about joining. Not sure if I can make it to the live draft though...that means potentially being at the mercy of the auto-drafter (i.e. getting multiple kickers, tight ends or defenses).

I'll be on the live draft most likely. But I think I might have to work at one of our shelters for Hurrican evacuees.

If not, the autopicker hasn't let me down yet. The only time it really screws you is if someone is still on the board that is rated highly but you have all those position spots filled so it signs a kicker or TE. But that's rare for me.

Oh and some dude just traded me LT for Larry Johnson and Clinton Portis....I pressed yes. I love having LT.

^ I don't think I'd be too concerned, especially with today's results. The box score looks like rosters for the CFL or NFL Europe. The only disheartening thing is that David Carr was the opposing QB today & he had himself a nice game.

Yeah I wouldn't be too concerned either...if anything Tom can just get Giselle to flash the team really quick to motivate them.

If anything they are just resting all the old guys they have on the team and when those old guys are on the field they're probably only putting out about 50% and just getting their timing and formations correct.

Chucky & I were the only ones drafting live. I love my WR's, but RB depth is a problem (hate to rely on rookies, but that's the route I went).

BTW, is that your sheltie in your avatar? Reminds me of when my dog was a little pup. We tried to taper his ears too, but he hated the tape.

When teams are picking kickers and def in the middle rounds, you know it's auto pick.

Umm... I'm willing to trade for another WR. Overall, I'm happy with my team. Sometimes picking at the end has its advantages.

That's the only thing I hate about drafing players from NE. I hate how Belichick reports injuries to the NFL. Seems like many of their key players are routinely "probable" for the next game. You know they're going to start Brady & Moss when they're "probable"... but never know when it comes to other players.

I'd go with either Cotchery or Johnson if it were me. The Eagles have a good secondary & can shut down an aging Holt. Of the remaining two, Johnson has a tougher match up... although they'll most likely be playing catch up which means more looks. Tough call. Seems like Fav-reh will spread the ball around & Cotchery should get his touches. I know that's not much help... but at least I trimmed the list (if it were my decision to make).

Andre Johnson and Torry Holt are proven guys... but you're right about the Eagles... However, L. Coles is hurt and questionable so I think Cotchery will have more look from Favre. Brandon Marshal is suspended for one game so you're going to get a big fat 0 if you start him.

Did you play around with the points weighting on QBs? I have Brees in another league and he only got 22 whereas he got 52 in our league.
