The Tomei turbo spools fast and holds boost all the way to redline.

On an 07 STI with only injectors, fuel pump, and very conservative tuning, we made right at 300 whp on 91 octane using this turbo. Another shop in LA claims to make 350 whp on WRXs with turbo.

The Tomei products are designed for long-term reliability when used with a stock engine while providing respectable performance improvements.

I suggest that you read the Tomei technical report here for more information.
http://www.tomei-p.co.jp/news/Report-EJ25-V1.html#C3.2

One great thing about Tomei--they really do their R&D well and they make their processes and findings much more public than many other companies.

Happy reading!

Brandon, thanks so much for all the info on the header kit. It is a really dang sweet deal...I had to really restrain myself from diving for my wallet when I saw the pricing :) It would be a nice compliment to my upcoming turbo swap : banana :

how much is the turbo? Anything else I would need with it? You know what I already have...but I'm guessing the minimum would be bigger injectors in the 800cc range?

300whp on what type of Dyno? Also, what are you guys using for boost control?

Sounds interesting.

Cool. I read all that, but some dyno charts would be even better. I'd like to see the curves from this turbo.

Read the Tomei technical report.

We are a no-bull**** shop. The turbo does what Tomei claims even with conservative tuning.

I'll have to check with customer regarding posting his dyno sheets.

I wasn't suggesting you guys were BS. It's just I'd prefer to see first hand charts that came off an actual customer's car versus something that came from the company selling these turbos.

Also, I'm assuming your customer is running pump gas from CA and presumably not 98RON from Japan. I'd like to see the results of how this turbo performs on 91 oct. If your customer is willing to share his results with the rest of the community, that'd be awesome. :)

Brandon said they have a customer who put down 300whp on a Mustang Dyno with this turbo. I asked to see the charts and I guess he's still working on getting it...

AutoHQ

If you are waiting for those dyno charts you may be waiting a very long time. This is why I found the dyno charts and quarter mile time from two other shops who have installed this turbo recently.

I can vouch that this turbo installed with the Tomei EL headers hit 300/310 hp/tq on GST's Mustang dyno...it was an 06 STI. Oh yeah, 91 octane too.

BTW, AutoHQ, can you PM an installed price for the EL Tomei headers? I've got a 2006 STI.

Also, do you have access to getting the Tomei headers coated? Appearance wise, I'd rather go with a coating instead of the header wrap...

Thanks in advance!!!
