Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

What do you need for 97' 2.2l to 99' 2.2l

It would definitely be simpler, and probably cheaper just to do a swap. Legacy turbo and WRX motors can be had pretty easily. To attempt to answer you, you would need complete heads, intake and exhaust manifolds, and worst of all, new harnesses. Not worth it for what, 15 horsepower?

'98 (and maybe earlier?) EJ25s were DOHC. Also, I think NA EJ22s were too, but not positive.
