I have the ipod interface and I bought my auxiliary cord... but I can't play the ipod on AUX through the stereo if it is plugged in to the interface.

my bros truck can play the ipod and control it through the stereo when plugged in to the interface.

any insight?

Wait, so you are trying to plug the aux cable into the earphone jack while having it plugged into the ipod connector?

You can control the ipod through the stereo using the ipod connector, but it sucks ass and is super slow in my opinion.

what kind of stereo do you have. you should be able to charge and play at the same time.

Forgot to mention that my comment relates to using the stock 6-disc head unit with the Subaru ipod connector.

If this is what you have, then you can control the ipod and charge at the same time with just the ipod connector. There are button sequences you have to hit to do things like change song, go to the next playlist, etc. I got a cheat sheet for it in my paperwork when I took delivery of the car.

Thanks gsxrex, I figured that was what was up. When I bought it, no one told me and I couldn't figure out how to run the ipod just off of the interface. So I went ahead and but an auxiliary cord and was making it work that way :lol:

I'll play with it when I get off work and report back!!!
