Anybody got fitment issues with the Tanabe Touring Medalion?

I just got a used Tanabe Touring Medalion today.
When I tried to install it on my 02 wagon I ran into some problems.
The first problem is the intermediate pipe hits the driveshaft bearing if I use the regular length Kartboy Hangers. That was easy to solve, the XL hangers took care of it eaily.
The second problem is that the downpipe flange and the intermediate pipe flange doesn't really line up that well at all. It looks like 1 of the flanges is twisted at a wrong angle so the holes on the flanges don't really line up.
In order to even get them to bolt up, I had to remove the J-hook bolt on the downpipe, then push the exhaust around to barely line up the two holes enough to push the bolts through, then tightening all the bolts loosely and replace the J-hook bolt. but after I was done, the two flanges look like they're off by a couple of degrees. Not sure if the problem is with the exhaust or the downpipe.
Just wondering if anyone else ran into the same problem I'm having

no leaks though so not gonna worry about it for now until it starts leaking...just curious if other people have the same problem...
one of these days when I get motivated, I'll probably loosen all the exhaust bolts from the turbo back to the muffler and see if I can get it all to line up better...but for now this is good enough

yeah sounds good. pretty quiet on the freeway(no drone whatsoever), when just driving around, its just barely loud enough for you to know its there, the only time it gets somewhat loud is when I'm accelerating from a stand still

As long as you don't have a exhaust leak you should be fine.
I never heard of anyone having fitment issues with the
Tanabe Touring Medalion exhaust before.I know the
Kartboy hangers are right on the money aspecially with the
regular length hangers.A experienced exhaust shop should
be able to help you out possibly.

Autospeed performance catted down pipe. Its a 1 piece bellmouth downpipe
They got out of the Subaru business though.

I have a non-flex up-pipe. I'm actually wondering if the up-pipe could be causing the problem since I had a heck of a time installing the APS inlet pipe too due to the coupler hitting the TGV.
My thinking is if the up-pipe is off by a little bit at the turbo, as it goes down the line to the down-pipe the problem gets magnified and I get the problem I'm having.
One of these days I might get a new up-pipe with a flex section to see if it'll cure the problem.
But for now its not leaking so I'm probably not gonna worry about it too much

oh the next thing I was going to try is to loosen the 5 turbo to downpipe bolts/nuts and see if I can get it to align better...if that doesn't work, next thing to do would be to eventually get a new up-pipe with flex section
