I won't be able to afford the MKII so the MKI is fine for me
If I cannot find a buyer soon I'll be ordering my new camera and my wife will be getting the XSi
MKII looks good though so hopefully it won't be to expensive and I'll just get that one

Well, rumors are Canon instant rebates are out later this month so if you are planning to get a 5D, you may want to wait until then. However, right now, 5D's are in the range of $1850~ for the body. Being a 2 year old camera and most certainly going to be replaced at Fotokina, $1850 minus the usual 200 or more will be a really really enticing deal. I used to work with 5D's and theres just something with that camera that still makes me pick that over the 1Ds Mk2/3. Especially when it's image quality is better than the D300 for such an older camera.

I know exactly what you mean regarding the 5D vs the 1Ds. depending on how much the MKII is when it actually gets released (hopefully sometime mid June) I'll know if I'm getting a MKII or MKI. I'd love to have the rumored specs though.
I used to work with Nikon at my last job and I'm very happy I'm using Canon now
Besides the MKII might have EF-S mount
so I won't have to modify my 10-22mm to workDang man, PM me...
i found this lens on b&h and i think it's a canon mount but made by sony...i was checking it out and reading the details on it. 1200mm f5.6 it said that there were only 6(?) manufactured, national geographic has one, the FBI has a few, and some other wealthy people do. price tag- $99k

I've been working with the 24-105 f/4L that came with the 5D and it's pretty good.
Hopefully we'll be meeting up soon again. My schedule is so messed up for work now
