are UK dvds the same dvd region as US ones?

 

my chinese dvd player plays everything.

 

If you put it into your mac, with mac the ripper. You can rip it to your drive and pull the region code. haha, ask me how i know....

I bought the last dvd one with the recaps of the winter games, and found that it was PAL not NTSC.

 

The DVD says Region 0 on the case, so it'll play on any player. I'll check it tonight and post the results.

 

The DVD plays in my $50 Philips player but not my $120 Sony player. Go figure. Anyway, it also has the opening commercial for Shell gasoline that has all the Ferraris in it. Sounds awesome in surround sound. I'm thinking I wouldn't mind keeping this just for the commercial!
