Reposting from NASIOC...

Ed and I decided to retune this thing since our last 355whp@22psi run here http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1378681
Changes made since last time:
2 more psi (24 psi)
Lowered threshold for meth injection (from 10psi to 7psi)
Iridium 2 step colder plugs
cleaned up electronics (better grounding?)
ACT street disc clutch
Gruppe-S flywheel
75 degree ambient (was ~50 in previous tune)
4.44 final drive conversion (2004 FXT transmission w/ 60k miles on it, dyno'd in 4th instead of 3rd)
This car I daily drive / commute with about 15k miles a year and dump whatever pump 91 from wherever. I have to say this is a lot for a 5 speed tranny and ej257 with STOCK WRX heads: this bugeye did 280/280 when it had Helix 264 valvetrain and vf30. Not sure if I want to do the EWG and get something less restrictive than a Borla Hush to top 400whp - the car is REALLY quiet right now, i mean pretty close to a catless wrx w/ stock muffler. Too scared to take it to the track until I get my AAA premium membership w/ 100 miles of free towing, though if this motor blows I'll redo it with ported heads and a 272/272 valvetrain w/ an EWG for sure.
The tune seems fairly conservative with A/F at 11.0:1 (pretty rich for a meth tune)
I am stubborn and determined to make this bugeye faster instead of buying an STI (the smart thing to do). I love this car though, it pretty much looks like a stock bugeye if you didn't know the Borla Hush was aftermarket. Detail Addict exterior restoration to take place soon!

ON a 5 SPEED!!! WOW, you were blessed with a good tranny. Just be ready for a 6spd or ppgs when/if the tranny goes (5-6K. eek). Many 02-03s had less than 300whp and blew their trannies.......which im a member of....=( But sweet numbers nonetheless,

Good stuff man. I remember seeing your bugeye and it definitely looked stock... until you told me what mods you had. Then I was just speechless since I had no clue about half the stuff you said.

!This thing finally came together like it should! I've seen this car at least 6 different times now and each time something else got fixed and it kept getting better and better. This time around it looks like some of the wiring finally got taken care of and everything just fell into place. The car made amazing power easily and now that the wiring is fixed is fixed, it also drives very smoothly.
That 5 speed isn't going to hold long that's for sure. Ambert definitely knows this and is currently driving it very carefully and babying every shift
