1991 MR2 Turbo 188xxx miles. This car has been a project of mine for the past 5 years. It was originally purchased with a salvage title due to a hit on the front right fender and wheel. I replaced the fender, the strut housing, did the alignment and it was good to go. 2 years ago I had an engine fire due to a bad oil line to the turbo, this spread into the fiberglass engine lid and it went up, causing damage to the trim around the engine bay. The damage in the engine bay was minimal (some hoses and wires). Four months ago I spun a rod bearing, so I rebuilt the motor in my spare time. There is less than 500 miles on this new motor, and the Engine bay was thoroughly cleaned.

95 Camry 5s Block, tanked, bored .020 over, honed
93 MR2 5s Crank, ground to turbo specs, chamfered oil gullies, balanced
CP forged pistons, CP rings, turbo specs
Stock turbo rods
ACL RACE Bearings, thrust washers
ARP head bolts
New: Oil pump, water pump, timing tensioner, and belt, all gaskets
Professionally rebuilt 93 Head, stock specs (I didn’t have the money to do what I wanted here, and was hoping to do major head work in the future.)

All of these other modifications have less than 10k miles on them:

93 Transmission, I was told it had around 60k miles when I put it in, TRD LSD, Redline 75w90NS, it has a slight grind going into 3rd at high RPM.
ACT street clutch, 10k miles
Fidenza Flywheel, 10k miles
Clutch master, slave cylinders 500 miles
Poly engine mounts, shifter cable bearings 500 miles

Turbo setup, 10k miles, currently at 12PSI with MBC & HKS FCD
Garret T3/T4 I believe its Compressor A/R .60; Turbine A/R .48. If I remember right.
Tial 38mm waste-gate to atmosphere
SPD exhaust manifold
2.5” down pipe, to flex, to 3” high flow cat, straight back to Flowmaster dual exit muffler Custom made, straight design, very loud at 3-5k RPMs, sounds like a V8 not a honduh.
Custom intake with 45 degree bends
Turbo XS BYPASS valve
ST205 Air to water intercooler, endtank in trunk is around 2 gallons and allows for ice, heat exchanger mounted where stock IC is, SPAL 10” fan set to run constantly
Water Injection set to come on at 7PSI, same 2 gallon end tank, high pressure pump
Misc stuff:
NGK 6097s, NGK wires, cap & rotor, 500mi
MSD 8950 for the TVIS, ready to install
New Battery 500mi
New front tie rods 500mi
SMT6, ready to install

Suspension 15k miles
Tokico Illumina 5 way adjustable shocks
Eibach Prokit 1” drop

Enkei 18x7.5” wheels, weighing in at 18 lbs, these were purchased used and have some curb rash, but still look good
Front tires Kumho ecsta 215 35 ZR 18
Rear tires Dunlop Direzza 215 35 ZR 18 Both sets have plenty of tread (I forgot to take pics)
2” rear spacers

Inside: Indiglo gauges, boost and volt gauges, APC seats (cheap but functional), 4point harnesses
Sony 5 channel sub, JL audio front and rear speakers, cheap *** 10” subs (plenty loud since they’re right behind you!), small capacitor
Clarion auto PC, I bought this when all the features were “cool”, like GPS, voice control, MP3 playback, games. I found the unit annoying and I just used it to play Cds, it works great for that!

Widebody kit, I installed, blended all the lines, and painted (stock black with a blue pearl coat) this about 2 years ago. Shortly after I painted it I had the engine fire that took out the engine lid and molding around the engine bay. Since then the front end got tapped, not major damage but it knocked loose all the blending from the fenders to the bumpers. The car looks fine the way it is, but in order to look good the blending needs to be redone and it should be repainted. If I don’t find a buyer I will do this all myself and relist it…

Misc problems
Cruise control doesn’t work, error code comes up as bad CC ECU, I didn’t use it so I didn’t care…
No AC, it didn’t work when I bought the car so I pulled it out…
Keyless entry just stopped working a couple of weeks ago, no time to figure it out…

The car runs great and is fast as hell! With larger injectors, FPR, EMS, and tuning this car could easily put 300 to the ground. With some cams 350 is possible. I set it up with this in mind and I wish I could finish this project, but I just moved to Medford Oregon for school. I don’t have the time, money or space for a project car.

The car is in Santa Cruz Ca. But delivery for trades can easily be arranged.
