Sup Guys, just thought I'd share one of my newest project cars. 1991 VW Cabriolet. It was bought already having about 50% completed with suspension, wheels and system. I plan on getting it resprayed, converting the grille to 2 headlight, racing seats, harness bar and so forth.

Thanks bro! The wheels are extremely rare, exclusive to Europe only. They are RSL Cults 13x7. They were only manufactured back in the early 90s. Kinda like Work Equips from back in the day. :)

Hahhaha...damn small world. Yup bought Dom's car so he can get his MK5. How do you know him? Anything you can tell me about the ride? So far, I've done a 4 stage polish job on the car and found some trims from the JY and resprayed them black.

Do you still have your GLI? Let me know when which JYs are the best because I haven't had much luck at Pick N Pull or the ones at Depot in Hayward.

Takin it back to the o'skool! Sweet man. I miss my MK1 GTI's, used to have two of them (at different times of course)! As well as a 79 Scirocco that I threw a 1.8 in it.

Nice to hear that I'm among other dub enthusiasts :biggrin1: . MK1 cabs and MK2 91 - 92 GTI/GLI.s were always my favorites. I had two buddies back in the day that had MK2 Scirocco's...one with the wide Zender Kit and another just slammed to the floor.

This is my 4th cab in 13 years. My first one was my baby. I won two car shows back in 1996 with it. Good Guys in Pleasanton and New Dimensions in San Jose...and this is why I always find myself buying one again and again. :rofl:

yes, i am gabe. i have a mk1 rabbit and a mk3 gti now..i dont have much laying around for a mk2, besides a corrado steering wheel and a neuspeed upper front strut bar. want anything, PM me and we can set something up :)

as far as JYs, there are always a bunch of them at the SJ pnp, but the hidden secret is at the newark pick n pull off of mowry...found tons of stuff over there

Thanks! Yeah the guy I bought it off of did a really nice job. I haven't quite had the budget and time to make the project officially mine yet. I got some huge plans for it though.

Just wanted to say driving this car makes me feel young again hahaha. No BS, everytime I take it out and bump the music....it brings me back to my first cabby that I had back in high school. As a matter of fact, I saw my ex girlfriend from HS last week while driving it and she was really trippin out hahaha. She just kept saying "wow the memories" LOL.


Its a really good feeling...and your taste is on the same page as mine. Excellent job once again! I'm registered on WCM but not ready to start posting. Again, I feel like I haven't quite made your project entirely mine yet. Gotta start selling and hustling stuff lying around the house :D
