+1 Never thought of that. Their is a BIG difference between getting tuned and BEING tuned. Im not going to talk in stages or whatever, but having a COBB map doesn't count as a protune FYI. Don't talk to us like we all are idiots. I remember when you said (in front of me) that you had two tunes on your car. I have backup on that, but I don't want to name names. Their is no way in hell you can have two maps running simultaneously on your car. Get real. Your only 17 or 18 or whatever, and im sure we have been around cars ALOT longer than you. So don't claim you have something that you don't have. We don't need people like this in the group, they just make a bad image on the rest of us. No, but you'll need a stg. 2 reflash/ecu. Each general 'stage' requires an accomidating ecu reflash for your mods. In our cars all the power is in the tuning/EM. ;)

wow...ok.. personally to what i thought i said, sorry if i said it in correctly before, i thought i said that my car has had two tunes!
once by ED@EQ tuning using ecutec and then once with a cobb map... right now my car is on a stock map without the Cobb.. i am picking up my AP on the 31st and oh.. oh.. and if u think im the only one that knows stuff about my car ask the guy that use to work a S^2(s squared for all u newbs) the first owner had issues with them and my car, i am as we speak working at DB Tuned and he will most likely know more than u guys.. actually i am positive he knows more than yall.. soo if yall are thinking i am trying to make yall look astupid im not.. i was previously trying to figure out what was done to my car(previous owners did) so in the end i now know exactly whats done to my.. and BTW if u want to make up crap about what i said or what i am trying to do then make sure u have ****ING proof first

wow.. really? i talk to people all the time that do it.. and i was talkin to paul@ DB yesterday when i was there and he said with the right set up u can probably get close to 300whp and 300 wtq on stock turbo.. but that is like the ultimate on that turbo...

but ya.. i am always talkin to people who went ahead and tuned there stock turbo with other mods as well

You won't get anywhere near 300/300 with that turbo. All you'll do is kill the life of it by trying. I'd be lucky to get 300/300 to the wheels with my vf39 turbo.

Does the guy you know have the actual dyno sheet online? Anyways, those look like descent numbers for a protuned 2.5L WRX. Remember, yours is only a 2.0L. Try searching the Power Bragging forum on nabisco on cars like yours and you'll see.

Fer sher. That '39 or '34 has nice power gain for price. I was just talking to a guy yesterday with an '07 WRX and busted his 3rd gear with just a vf39...

are you getting a protune this weekend. did you get the cobb ap? i got a stage1 map (FREE!) the car is stronger with a better power band but i have boost creep in 5th so i took my aem intake off and still damn boost creep so my stock map is going back on. so much for my new power gains

Your boost creep problem is from the wg. Nothing to do with your intake. Send Cobb's support an email about what's going on bc they have different versions of that map if you keep getting fuel cut like that. I was getting the same thing, but I tuned it out myself.

i used an xpt-gabedude map looked online and it said not to use an aftermaket intake , thats what i get for using free maps! the boost creep only happens when im in 5th and give it half to full throttle.

O, I gotcha. Is there anyway you can edit that map with a laptop? We can easily tune that shiz out. I used to have the same exact problem in 5th gear and sometimes in 4th when going WOT.

i'm sure you can edit it i just need some help, i dont really want to lose that new found power

Cool. Find out how to change the values of that map and I can help you out whenever. Our 06-07's ECUs have 2 different wgdc (wastegate duty cycle) settings; a high value and a low value. You should be okay with that map on there though, just dont go WOT in 5th if you can't help it.
