Hi all,

I can't seem to find the drain plug for the coolant. Can someone point me to where this is located? Pictures would be even better.

Thanks in advance!

Dont use the actual drain plug. Just take off the lower radiator hose. The drain plug tends to snap of when you try to unscrew it. Doesnt matter if its brand new...just a heads up....

the best way to do it is remove the lower radiator thermostat housing, you will need to replace that gasket. when you do this you will get all the coolant out of the engine and radiator. it will come out pretty quickly too. if you just take off the lower hose, the radiator will drain pretty quickly but the block will take time to drain. and if you do it from the radiator drain, you wont get all the coolant out of the entire system and you do run the risk of stripping out the plug.

i'm at 105k, just had the radiator flushed and the petcock is still working fine for me. :)

it does take at least an hour to drain completely if you use the petcock. it also gets EVERYWHERE! LIC has this killer catch pan they use in conjunction with an oil lift drain that will catch all of of the coolant spillage.
