So, I got this used ERZ (Ebay) N1 style exhaust, and it sounds great, but I hated the 4.5" fart can tip, and decided to do something about it. I was going for a similar look as the STI tip, so I took the muffler section to the local muffler shop, and had them chop the tip off, weld a small plate section to reduce the exit hole from 4.5" to 3.5", and had an angled 3.5" Magnaflow tip welded on. Cost $50 bucks. Then I painted the end of the can black with hi-temp BBQ paint to cover up the welds, and add to the N1 OEM STI look. Heres what I got. I love it. :D

^^^I thought about that, but it would have required some rerouted piping and relocated hangars, which would have added $$$ and complexity to the project. Besides, I like the uniqueness of having the 'stock' look with the slight aftermarket N1 angle. ;)

^^^Not really, at least that I can notice. Still sounds nice and deep. I'm very impressed with the tone of these Ebay knockoff exhausts.

Looks great! How much did it all cost you (CBE + muffler work)?

Thanks y'all. Cost for the used catback was $120 shipped, and $50 to chop and replace the tip, plus some black BBQ paint. I have to say I got a super deal on the catback, and I had a local guy do the tip welding.

And the throw line is for darts. ;)

^^^Koni yellows in '03 sedan housings w/ blue Prodrive lowering springs, and aftermarket camber bolts front and rear. I just threw on a GTSpec ALK, and I haven't got a chance to align it yet, but for me, the height is just right. Little hard to tell from the pics, but it has a very, very slight rake to it with the rear about 1/4 higher than the front.

Here's a couple pics from the front.
