Hi,

I've finally completed some suspension upgrades and in the process I wanted to try to replace the front OEM endlinks with the ones from Perrin or other company. I was able to turn the nut, but the whole round "bolt" spins.

1. How do you tighten it, so I can stop the click noise I get when the sway bar moves around? (I need to use the car while I wait for the new end links)

2. When I receive the new end links, how do you loosen and remove the OEM Front end links.

Before I go ape on them with some locking pliers or a cutting wheel, thought I'd ask the suby community first.

Thanks,
Mike

After taking another look at a service manual and the OEM endlink on the car, it seems the nut is just supposed to come off with a wrench. Guess I'll have to apply some liquid wrench and maybe use an impact wrench to spin the nut free. I can probably forget about tightening it like I wanted to. The Perrin endlinks have been ordered.

Thanks for putting me on the right path, I found the link to the install instructions on Cobb's Website...
www.cobbforums.com/forums/images/Endlinks.pdf

The head of the bolt must have been covered in dirt, because I didn't see the Allen head.

Thanks again,
Mike

I have a quick question regarding front oem endlinks and since the OP solved his problem.. i'll just go ahead and ask :)

Is it necessary to replace the front oem endlinks on a 07 WRX? I've heard that they are made of metal and are good enough for non-agressive sways.

I'm planning on running 24mm/24mm. Thanks!
