NEW 2.5 turbo swap available soon...
Hi Guys I was just at the auto show in NYC this past weekend and got a chance to see the new 2.5 Turbo motors that will be offfered in the Legacy, Forester, and Bajas.....
These look to be perfect for those with 2.5 or 2.2 non turbo cars. This new turbo motor uses what appears to be a standard 2.2/2.5 NON turbo intake, pretty much a factory turbo kit of sorts...
These cars should be good for turbo "kit" cars, upgraded shortblocks, or complete Engine swaps. This is what I'm planning for my 99 OBS.

It is a 2.5 liter engine, but it hasn't ben revealed as to whether or not it's still an EJ25. I imagine the STi and Forester turbo engines are far closer to the EJ20 than the 2.5.
I don't quite understand this thread..maybe pic will help
turbo intake should be a lot different from NA intake.
I haven't seen the new motor but turbo intake ususally goes under the intake manifold.
or when you say intake, are you talking about intake manifold?
there is WRX already so you can just throw WRX turbo parts onto your 99 OBS

Hi Go GO Go
Yes I'm talking about the Intake Manifold. Sorry no pics. As far as WRX stuff for my OBS, I know but I would prefer the 2.5 motor. it has more potential for "street" performance.
I come from a backround of Mopar Turbo cars and on them the 2.5 turbo motor makes tons of torque vs a 2.2 turbo motor. My last set up made 334ft/lbs of torque at the wheels...at only 2500rpm.
Plus I since began doing WRX work on top of Turbo Mopars....
