Ok, I just bought a set of STI genome gauges off Ebay, item #
220132678292,

And was searching around for information regarding installing these when I stumbled on this post from IWSTI.com:

http://www.iwsti.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25603

Which had this picture:

http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/7/20314235731.jpg (http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=6077051)

This post has the exact same picture of the ebay auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MakeTrack=true

Which had this picture:

http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/7/20314240075.jpg (http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=6077052)

Notice anything similar?

Now, the post was created back on 05-19-2005, 09:30 AM, and the ebay auction is current as of last night.

Okay, so the odds of all of this being legitimate is starting to worry me.

The seller states that the gauges light up blue, but from my experience they light up green.

Help!

haha, maybe you could contact ebay before hand and notify them of something kinda sketchy going on...

Yeah, I was searching for installation guides when I stumbled on that picture. Not a very good feeling finding the picture of something you just bought on a post from two years ago.

Groan...

Yeah, seems legit, but the car she's parting out is black, the car in the picture with the genome gauges wr blue.

hmmm, gotta wait and see I guess...

I've done that before, I was selling a whole set of hot wheels, and instead of taking the picture of all of them, I just found one...could be the same case here...

I hope so too. Man, my "this is too good to be true" alarm didn't go off until I found that picture from two years ago.
