Zoeb2s 12-06-2002, 03:33 PM o.e. = original equipment so yes..the stock wheels. -Zoeb thetikler1 12-09-2002, 08:03 AM Holy crap, the same happened to me! only i didn't slow down that bad. i just hit up on the curb and the alignment is off on my car. what do i have to do to fix thtat god awfull turning to the right problem its getting bothersome. wow thank god I am not the only one. edit: is that bad to have a rim like that? or can we just ride with a rim with the rim scraped just like that rim???? Obi-Wan 12-09-2002, 10:12 AM I personally wouldn't drive around on a rim with a chunk missing like that. I don't think sharp edges contacting the tire is a good thing. Who knows, maybe you could drive around with a rim like that and not have any problems. Take you car to a shop and get an alignment if you car is pulling to one side, that should fix it, unless you've bent something and it needs to be relaced. thetikler1 12-09-2002, 09:48 PM oh great, how mcuh do alignments usually run? i hope under 100 berkasal 12-10-2002, 04:02 PM i got allignment for all 4 just for 54$$ and it cost 8$ per wheel for balance, its not so bad Wingless Wonder 12-10-2002, 10:11 PM Originally posted by thetikler1 edit: is that bad to have a rim like that? or can we just ride with a rim with the rim scraped just like that rim???? That's more than a scrape - look where the bead of the tire sits. Another thing to consider is that a chunk missing like that can possibly lead to catastrophic failure of the wheel at high speeds. A crack can form from the damaged area. -- WW thetikler1 12-11-2002, 03:13 PM okay whew, this saturday i'll go get it alligned, berkasal would you be intrested in sellign me one rim? thanks to everyone for the info berkasal 12-11-2002, 08:16 PM i was planning to sell all four and but a det of 4 but i changed my mind since im broke, but after chrismas, i could, cuz ill have enough money to get my 17''gold prodrives |
