STI RUSH 06-03-2007, 10:26 AM i havent really heard of anyone getting one of those things. stick to your stock box, get a perrin/k&n hi flow filter, or even get the SPT intake or K&N Typhoon. . . jimmy04wrx 06-03-2007, 05:20 PM turbonator? heck, i just want one now just to say i have a TURBONATOR how about some info on this brand/product? robertwrx04 06-03-2007, 07:50 PM Yeah its a vortec cylinder that you insert in the air intake hose to increase a gain of 2-5 hp gain. That and a K&N high flow filter should work good together! also a lot chaper the getting a CAI. After all the negative response ive heard of getting a Intake hurting low end torque. vietpunk916 06-04-2007, 02:48 AM hahahahahhahahahahahhahahah ^ u know why. 4URABUS 06-06-2007, 06:54 AM The Turbonator is one of those snake oil-type of devices, kinda like attaching magnets to your fuel line to improve fuel economy. I believe Consumer Reports tested one of those and gave it a big thumbs down. I would suggest getting a RalliTEK high-flow intake elbow and AVO reusable panel filter instead. http://www.rallitek.com/hiinel.html http://www.rallitek.com/avopaairfi.html I'm not terribly happy with the K&N air filter. It doesn't have a rigid outer frame like the stock filter, and installation requires pulling the entire air box out of the car. Not only is that a PITA, but at one point someone at the dealer opened the case to peek at the filter (even though I had the "Touch this filter and die!" sticker in place), and they cracked the lower half of my air cleaner at the slots trying to reassemble it incorrectly. flatline 06-06-2007, 03:27 PM hilarious, ive got a bridge for sale =) 2006WRX4ME 06-08-2007, 02:18 AM http://www.rallitek.com/hiinel.html Funny, this looks like the same Intake Elbow that GP Moto has been selling for awhile. I guess people are copying their design as their own now. I'm not sure if it's different, but on my 07 I just unclipped the top and pulled out the oem and slid in the K&N. tanz1983 06-13-2007, 05:47 PM Why would you put a turbonator on a car with a turbo? Nick Koan 06-13-2007, 06:17 PM Why would you put a turbonator on a car with a turbo? The better question is "Why would you put a turbonator on a car?" vietpunk916 06-15-2007, 02:22 AM lol system60 06-15-2007, 08:39 AM Why would you put a turbonator on a car with a turbo? You'd be twin turbo then Gouki 06-20-2007, 06:25 AM There's a sticker in the making. LOL SUBEEREX 06-26-2007, 04:54 PM With extra power...comes extra responsibility:rofl: !!! 4URABUS 06-26-2007, 05:13 PM I'm not sure if it's different, but on my 07 I just unclipped the top and pulled out the oem and slid in the K&N. I think the 06/07 air cleaner differs from the 04/05 air cleaner, just like the TMIC differs between the two year groups. |
