I recently purchased and installed a Turbosmart dual vent adjustable blow off valve. Unfortunately, I don't have any idea what the best way to adjust it is.
It seems to me that too much spring tension will keep the valve closed for too long (creating pressure surge against the turbo) but too little spring tension will let the valve be pushed open during high boost.
Any suggestions?
ps. the suposedly "application specific" BOV that I bought doesn't fit on the stock WRX without some modifications. The "horn" must be removed in order to clear the grey rigid emissions lines that run along the front of the intercooler, and the factory bypass flange has an o-ring inside it that doesn't seat well against the Turbosmart housing. Just an FYI to potential shppers...
