Rule of thumb seems to be under 400 whp with a safe, professional tune on the stock internals. However, a built motor with rods and pistons will surely be a lot safer. The question is how long the stock internals will last with such an upgrade. Surely, the answer is a lot less time than stock. I haven't heard of the tranny going as much as the internals without a built block. The GT30, with a safe, professional tune, should last longer than a GT35R, all things being equal.

Do you have a 30r? I have a 35r that I may be interested in trading.
