Season Opener- NYD hangover tour drive
So whose up for a little tour of some back roads on New Years Day?
Weather will dictate what roads we can use but I though it'd be a fun way to start the new year, maybe meet in Vallejo about 10 AM?

I've been waiting for you to call me to know if we were going to do this. I haven't been on line for a long time.
Well right now i have 4 almost destroyed PS2's on my car which need to be replaced before a drive.
My yellow wheels with the all weater tires i have one flat
. Got it on the last dirt drive and forgot it was flat.
I'll see about getting it fixed before Monday so i can make it.

Well- last year I went out by myself because nobody else wanted to, but all the roads were flooded, washed out and closed- so you didn't miss much.
I'm looking at an all paved route between Vallejo and Sacramento in the delta on levee roads with ferry crossings and stuff- a bit different then our typical mountain roads, but I think they are fun roads and hope a few other people will enjoy them too.
I would suggest we meet about 9:30 AM at the Starbucks in the shopping center just SW of the I-80/CA37 interchange at the north east end of Vallejo.
We'll be heading out right at 10:00 with or without you, if anyone knows they can't make it there by 10- I can suggest a couple of other places we'll be taking breaks where you can join us.

P.S. we buried Jet today. He fell ill X-Mas eve and never re-covered. After $1800 worth of hospital bills we found he had cancer and would not get better. He was put to sleep on the 29th while we held him at the vets.

[strike]Possible rain tomorrow -- Pete, is this rain or shine?[/strike]
Actually, that's rain forecasted for San Francisco.. Vallejo has 0% chance of rain.
Rich: I can bring you some of my spare tires/wheels if it helps. Sorry to hear about Jet.

Yes indeedee rain or shine, although rain might curtail us a bit, I don't expect any real issues.
And since we'll be north and east of Vallejo we should be OK.
hey Rich, really sorry to hear about Jet too, that has to be tough, Hope you guys had an enjoyable NYE anyway

thanks for the offer Bryan, but i don't want to go on a drive with spare tires in the back seat. I spent 3 hours detailing the car Saturday.
Plus the time it would take to change them would hold the pack up.
There will be other drives soon. Once i buy a new set of tires i'll put on a drive too.
have a great time guys. wish i could be there. I could use the distraction.
