ABS only works with factory specs?

So ABS will only work with factory wheel/tire size specs .. so does that mean if you get sum 18" rotas, you have to go without ABS ? or can u send it back to the factory and get it re-setup ?

there is no reason why the factory ABS should not work with different sized rims, it has nothing to do with the rims themselves

HUH?!!! ABS is brakes, specifically controlling the application in the master cylinder. What does anything wheel/tire have to do with brakes? lol...

I'm also curious who told you this

Maybe the tire size is just off? As in overall circumference?

either way...thats why you get lower aspect ratio tires so the diameter of the tire remains the same...Helps out with keeping the speedo correct to

So...sounds like there is some kind of sensor on the lug nuts that can tell the rims are larger than stock?

lol....that's a pretty bogus piece of info.

I could see how possible the ABS gets affected on certain vehicles, but will not stop working. Some vehicles have their speed sensors for the ABS at the wheels. If you changed your overal O.D. then I could see how they might not work the same as before but needless to say, they would still work.

The guy that told you that probably meant something along those lines, or he is just an idiot and kdoesn't know what he is talking about.

people just want to express that they know it all, like when the tire guy wont mount 225's on your 205 factory rims...idiot

can i disengage my ABS? like pull a fuse out of somewhere? i know i can have more fun trail braking in this rain without the ABS.

thanks
