The Helix V3 downpipe incorporates all the popular features of the V2 downpipe with the addition of an external wastegate provision. This provision allows for external wastegate gases to be vented back into the downpipe. Helix also re-designed the bellmouth to reduce production costs without sacrificing the SS304 mandrel tubing, high quality TIG welding, etc. The end result is a better downpipe at a lower price.

The Helix Catted Downpipe incorporates Helix Power’s first-rate bell-mouth downpipe, with the addition of a 200 cell Metal-Substrate high-flow catalytic converter and thermal barrier heat-shield. The 200 cell Metal-Substrate downpipe has been tested by us to yield 7-10whp over the factory twin cats, while able to pass stringent California smog standards on the WRX / STI. The thermal barrier heat-shield assists in rapid warm-up of the cat for maximum efficiency and helping to reduce engine bay temperatures.

I called in the other day about those downpipes with the top part not coated or whatever, sales guy said i was second on the list and he would call me back, never did. I know they're prolly gone and all, but i was wondering how much my total OTD would be for a catted downpipe, install, AP (06sti), and protune would be. You guys installed my Ti helix catback not long ago so hook it up

Would like to do this anytime next week if possible.

 

329...not bad with a high flow cat...So its able to pass california smog? I would buy this in an INSTANT if you guys could prove this to me. Would cobb stage 2 some how void this smog pass claim?

It will pass smog through the sniffer, but not visual. You cannot change the CAT, unless your current one broke, otherwise, stock CAT remains.

 

Can you put the cat heat shield over it to conceal it then?

Sorry about that. Those 2 downpipes sold in about 5 minutes. The total for that all of those items installed, tuned, and out the door would be $1249.

This DP is able to pass the sniffer test but not the visual. Modifying any part of your motor will pretty much make you illegal so this DP or an AP flash would technically keep you from passing smog. By the way, $329 shipped is a CRAZY low price; this DP used to sell for $399 shipped and the next cheapest one is $549 shipped.

Yes, the Cusco heatshiled will work with these DPs but it doesn't exactly look stock either .
