Fellow Subaru performance junkies - Mostly just WRX turbo people actually...

I've come in contact with a tuner in the area (Redmond) that is getting ready to become a Vishnu dealer. In order for them to become a Vishnu dealer they need to place a $5000 order right off the bat. So, they asked me if I would post a thread to gage the interest level out there and to see if a group of us could get together and place such an order.

The name of shop is AchTuning! and they specialize in mostly Audi and VW turbo tuning. However, the turbo background has sparked an interest in the WRX. Check their site:

I am sure that we can work out some incentives for being the first to work with Achtuning! and their Vishnu lineup. Maybe some lift time in their shop or something of the sort. We would have to talk to them about that. The owners are real neat down to earth guys, Josh and Ben.

My interest is peaked! I was thinking of working my way through the stage packages myself. Since my car is less than a month old I need to learn how to drive it first though. It would be nice to have somebody Vishnu relatively close....

What would be the benefit?

Do you get a discount over going direct from Shiv?

Do you get to not pay for the product until shipped or picked up? took me months to years to get my products from shiv that were prepaid. Still waiting for a part that I was supposed to get over a year ago.

Are they going to keep the products stocked?

If you get a defective part who is going to be responcible for replacement, Vishnu or AchTuning?

Do they do Tec3 (electromotive) tuning?

$5000 is nothing, my first order with Shiv was near $7000.

Shiv Pathak? He is a contributor to Sport Compact Car magazine and he is a proven top WRX tuner. I like his approach because he seems to have a "long-term every-day" perspective to the tuning he does. At the very least he has some of the best content on his web site, I've learned alot by doing a little reading...

I have been working with Achtuning for about a year now trying to get them into the subaru market. Here in the NW we don't have much to choose from if we want to go pick up a part. Hopefully this will all change pretty soon.

I sparked their interest in Vishnu a little while ago because I really like their product and quality. Also because I have VS0. :p

I would really like to get this going and would be willing to put down a small chunk of change in getting them to their goal. What is everyone here wanting? Stage 0, 1, 2? I am thinking of upgrading to stage 1 with the STI injectors so that will be around 2k.

It looks like we have around 4k in orders (assuming you guys are going to buy stage 0) and Achtuning might pitch in and buy some exhausts or uppipes for stock but that would be up to Josh and Ben.

I also posted on nasioc about doing a install day there soon and being able to use their lift. They are interested but had to think about it due to liability issues and what not but I'm sure I can talk them into it. ;)

No, the price will be the same as going through Shiv.

That is what I am pushing for. Maybe not everything but at least uppipes and exhausts, maybe injectors.
