i need your opinion
i want to lower my car but just enough to get out of the stock gap. i know the best setup should be coilovers but i need to save a few bucks right now. so what you think about this mini-setup? i own a 03 wrx.
eibach springs
perrin rear sway bar
perrin rear endlinks
i need to know if i must add something else like stronger upper mounts.
suggestions?

+1 on whiteline sways, get the 27/29mm front!
but if money is tight, why not just get something like Megan or Helix coilovers? they sound like a good choice for the money. springs+sway = $500-600, and you will need the shocks very soon which is another $500-600. Those coilover setups = about $1k.

If you want a slow upgradeable path that will eventually get you coilovers, you can go with Ground Control coil sleeves which go for around $400. This gives you the adjustability of a coilover without spending over 1k immediately and you can choose ANY spring rate you want for free.
Later, when you have more funds upgrade your shocks to something like Koni Yellows. After the shocks, you basically have a coilover setup w/o pillowball mounts. I don't tinker enough with my suspension to need pillowball, plus the clunking noises they make so I just got some STi group N top mounts. My overall for this setup cost was ~ 1000 since I got some pretty good deals. This setup is probably better than most coilover kits that you can buy for the same price, you can build it up slowly instead of putting all the money down at once, and you can choose any spring rate you want.
Though, if you still just want to go springs, definately get the Prodrives, they're a LOT better than the eibach pro kit.

I'd put my money on either Prodrive or Cobb sport springs. I just recently had my Cobb springs installed and it's been 3 weeks since then. So far, the springs performs quite well... smooth over even pavements, can be jaw jarring over bumps. Overall high-speed stability and control improved dramatically over stock setup. And the most thing I love about it is the new stance it gave to my WRX... even drop, but it may be a bit too low for some. I think it's a little lower than Prodrive. I love these springs!

I've been riding around on Crucial springs with AGX's for a while now and love the stance and handling. Crucials have similar spring rates to JDM pinks but with a bit more drop and smoother progression. IMO this setup is perfect for mountain roads where things can get bumpy and some coilovers aren't up to the task.

well, IMHO, if you eventually will go to the coilover route, save your money and do it all at once. what do you want to do with your car? any autox or tracking? if not, then you might want to stay with springs + shocks for low cost and bettr ride quality. Crucial springs is a good suggestion, since it is not too low, even drops, plus they are a local company!
I agree as above member. If you don't go to track too much, prodrive springs + kyb shocks could be OK set-up. I have them. No regrets. Very good for everyday drive b/c it's not too low. Do get swaybars, it is night and day difference in a good way.

After my experience with Cusco's swaybars, you couldn't PAY me to put them on my car. Give your money to a company that actually gives a rip about customer service.
