Question Borla Cat-Back for an 06?

So unless I totally suck at searching I haven't found a borla catback anywhere. Would someone like to confirm this for me?

Borla didnt have a part number on their website(www.borla.com) I have requested further information, I will let you know when they reply.

Borla does not even list a cat-back for '05 ....but
We can use the same one that was used for the older GC8 (RS) 99-2001
part number #14885

Have known of people who have this on their MY05 FalconRS is one...

There is only one change, the hanger for the midpipe is on the wrong side...Fixed easily though

About MY06....dont know but I think it also fits. Someone verify.

What YOU can do (it will be quite a while for the after market to catch up) now is:

Use a stock WRX axle back (or) any after-market axle back that works with a OEM mid-pipe. There are gazillions of choices out there for '04 + '05 axle backs on the after market. The WRX take-offs are a dime a dozen...

SOA change the flange alignment on the '06 N/A's to be the same as the boosted ones (cost move). The flanges align perfectly and you can bolt 'em right in. They sound nice and deep and burbly (word?) with NA. BUT *** warning *** supposed to sound like crap with an NA car and HF Cats!

Yes, the WRX muff (or others) are 3" and the NA's are 2.25", but they mate perfectly (I had to turn my head in embarrassment)! Some say you "loose torque"... the butt dyno will not confirm this however!

Then have any muffler shop bend you up a 2.25: mid pipe in SS and there ya go! Sweet.

Finally, NO rebuttals! I have seen our service turn three out already this way (one I drove) and there are two other guys on the forums (RS25.com) that have solved the '06 exhaust issues this way!!!

So OBW, your saying that my 06 2.5i can use the axle back exhaust from an STI or WRX from 04-06 without any flange movement req'd like my buddies 05 2.5? I hope so cuz i got an 05 Sti Exhaust offered to me from axle back for $100 installed.

Stock WRX exhaust sounds fine with a stock cat (except for that weird whistling noise, at slow-speed deceleration and engine shutdown). Put a high-flow on it, though, and it sounds like absolute butt.

Plus, the WRX exhaust tapers from 2.25" or a bit less, down to 2.0" (internal) or so. The STi catback is a true 2.25" internal, all the way down.

As for the Borla catback, here's the 1993-2001 version mentioned above:

That is correct.
I also have an Sti axelback installed onto my 2.5i.

I also got them to remove my resonator and replace it with a test pipe.
It's probably me, and I'm the one that always complains of "loss of torque" after this initial setup. But I guess the Butt dyno proves me wrong?
But all in all, that's a cheap way to replace your stock exhaust / sound.
