This cat is listed as non OBDII certified, meaning that is legal on cars that are OBDI or earlier - it is NOT CARB legal on any OBDII car (e.g. any made after 1996).

Sorry kids, this isn't a get out of jail free ticket.

They have approval numbers for being carb and epa certifed on the body of the cat. Now technically to put it on a OBDII car like ours are not legal in california, but in other 49 states you will have no problem of being legal. Carb is very stingy on what can be put on for a car that is OBDII. But instead of running catless on your down pipes, this will be a good alternative b/c who wants to polute our ozone.

mcowger is absolutely correct, but many of us wrx and sti owners, i know are running helix down pipes or invidia or hks and have eliminated all of their cats, but this is a good alternative instead of polluting our air.

exactly what I want to do, is stop polluting the air, I've had my erz for a little while, and even though i am happy that it was so cheap, but I would feel much better if I had a cat...

If you want to stop polluting the air, stop driving.

LOL, seriously, I try to drive as little as possible, these gas prices are helping me with driving less as well.
