I'm debating on weather to get a Kakimoto N1 or Blitz NUR-Spec cat back for my car. Which one is louder? I don't really want it to drone on the freeway while I'm driving, but I do want the exhaust to emit a deep boxer growl. Which one should I get?

blitz very loud as well. maybe im getting old, but running with cat-less up-pipe, 3" cat-less downpipe, and blitz catback. one very loud combo. with the silncer in its almost tolerable, take it out and its unbearable, especially at highway speeds. just my .02

this is what i have on my rex :D

I have the scoobysport downpipe from www.rallyperformance.com
the stock wrx center section and the WRSport muffler

quiet on idle but with a deep flat four note
and when on the gas sounds deeper
and on hgwy driving no obnoxious droning like you get from some louder exhaust systems

also note: rallyperformance sell the CEL fix for the downpipe since you are removing the cat

Kakimoto is a sweeeet exhaust! Its by far my fav sounding.. when I get a new EJ20, I'm getting it, for sure.

i've got the kakimoto titanium. its loud. but you can get a silencer for it so that may be a good option for you.

I can get you a good deal on the blitz ;) It comes with a silencer. I will post pics in a bit.

I have the blitz and it's freaking amazing!! it's not to loud!! come on now!! LOUD=THE WAY TO GO!!

kakimoto is very nice and not many people have them. i would get it just to stand out a little.

Indeed, that is why I have the kakimoto, Ive had it for nearly a year now....and its by far the lightest and LOUDEST out....And Performance Im sure can not be macthed....its an excellent piece...But I must admit that blitz does look very nice...Im only now getting a lil tired of the kakimoto, dont get me wrong I love this thing.....I dunno I guess sometimes u just want some peace and quite...LOL

I think I'm going to get the Kakimoto just because it's so light and not very many people have it.

well the blitz was proven the loudest it was i belive 105db and the kakimoto was 101db.......just to get technical but it's all about what u want. man.

Also turbo magazine did a bunch of reviews on 12 different exhausts and the Blitz Nur Spec Made more power than all of them.

Hey guys, we're all talking about the Kakimoto GT 1.0Z right? Or a different model? :confused: Oh, and to add a log the fire, how do these compare to the HKS Hiper?

I like the HKS too, but everyone and their mother has the HKS Hiper on their car. I think I'm going with the Kakimoto GT1.0z (full titanium) exhaust. That thing looks sweet!

I agree :D But there's gotta be a reason why everyone likes the HKS Hiper so much! Anyone know?

if you get the kakimoto, it should be the same size except with a smaller can and tip. its slightly larger than 3" (80mm to be exact). i'm 5'4" and thats about how big the pipe is in relation to my hands.

if you want to see a huge pipe, wait until alex gets his 90mm bozz titanium exhaust. that thing will be frikking huge! :eek:

according to my calculations.. and personal experience.. parts of the blitz piping is slightly over 3inches.. maybe 3.25

The NUR-spec is LOUD!!!!!!!

i have the kakimoto gt1oz stainless mated to the godspeed jdm spec dp. i use it with the silencer only because it sets off the car alarms in my co op garage lot. the build quality of the kakimoto is superb mine is a jdm spec, i think you can get them now usdm spec so the dp options are better.
ps i will changing back to the oem dp and muffler soon in order to sell/trade my wagon for the sti[hopefully] if any tri state members are interested in the kakimoto with the dp please let me know. there is 3k on the kak& dp and 9k on the car happy thanksgiving

I cant believe I just found this thread. GET THE KAKIMOTO.

I have never gotten so many compliments about an exhaust, and I've had 10 different exhausts on four cars. Go for it, the craftmanship, SOUND, look, weight, everything, its the best. Everyone loved it almost as much as me.

Ya I dunno where u got that info on the decible level.....I honestly cant say if i remember hearing the nur-spec or not....but I seriously dought its louder than the gt1.oz (which I have) i hope u werent reffering to the other kakimoto exhausts, there a bit quiter.......

The GT1.OZ os the loudest exhaust I have ever heard on a WRX, and also the best sounding. I've never heard any other Kakimoto so I cant compare the sounds.

.. personally i dont prefer the loudness, it equals popo.... den again, that's just me. i got a borla hush, it's not as loud as the nur spec or helix, buh after 3500 rpm, it's still a lot louder than stock.

I got a Kakimoto, it's so loud, people who own the Blitz NUR Spec think my car is too loud. LOL

So, will the Invidia Bellmouth downpipe fit the GT 1.0z exhaust system? If not, which jdm downpipe fits the GT 1.0z?

I have the Blitz Nur Spec Cat back and it is reallllly loud... the looks of the nur spec are second to none also. if you go on long drives just pop the silencer in .. it basically sounds almost stock with it in... and with it out it has a realllly loud/deep boxer growl.. i love it! wouldnt have bought any other!
