View Full Version : April I-club started meet?
Magish 02-28-2006, 07:56 PM It seemed to work out nicely in the fall when we here planned the date/time/place sort of for a meet, and then brought it to the pirates so we didn't have 3 pages of voting on what date to do.
So, here we go. Hopefully enough of the "old-timers" still lerk around here to see this thread.
Name: Great Spring Drive '06?
Place: I was thinking somewhere new (not quite sure where). Redrocks is a great place to meet, but maybe we could find somewhere else that is equally beautiful but new and diffrent? Still on the Denver-side of town though.
Time: April-Mayish? Probably a sunday because that seems to work best with people, and not on a weekend of ski area closings as many people like to be there closing day.
Who? You!
Discuss.

KDamericano 03-01-2006, 10:09 AM that meet we had at the south high parking lot (by wash park) seemed to work pretty nice. Of course, if we wanted to hit something more scenic, red rocks or something in the foothills would probably be better. Maybe lookout mountain...?
KDamericano 03-01-2006, 10:19 AM oh also, Hey Jeff, what did those wheels/tires your selling come off of?
PeanutWRX 03-01-2006, 06:31 PM im down for a rocky mountain meet.. It will be my first and probaly my last as im moving to back To California in June

'03 WRX. Great shape too with only 10k miles of what looks like really easy driving.
BTW, if you still want that service manual just let me know. I'm in the process of putting it onto my computer from the disk, and I could just email it to do you or something.

Yeah, South did work very well, and red rocks works great too. Maybe we could switch it up at red rocks and use the southwest lower lot, which is even closer to the great scenery and would make for some great pics. Date ideas anyone?

Screw California, move to Colorado :)
KDamericano 03-02-2006, 09:51 AM hey jeff, i'll add you to my aim buddy list so next time we're both online we can just do a little transfer-action. thanks again man.
Also I had another idea about the meet. If we plan it on a nice day, we could all meet up at a carwash. I can think of a couple with very large parking lots connected. That'd give everyone the chance to give the ride a little shine. Just a thought...
Magish 03-02-2006, 07:17 PM Good idea! Hmm, which good carwashes are out there with large parking lots? I know of one at Morison and Kipling, but the parking lot is not that big.
Add this AIM instead of the one listed in my profile:
Jeffhophop (Last name starts with hop, and jeffhop was taken for those wondering :p)

Colorado is too cold :) and its too close to boring ass wyoming
KDamericano 03-02-2006, 09:43 PM there's a brand new carwash at Evans and Monaco which is connected to the bigasss sears (used to be a k-mart) parking lot. Plenty of room. Sweet car wash too. I was just there yesterday.

Why does everyone think Colorado is cold? We have had 65-75 degree weather for the last 5 days and we rarely ever get snow or rain (unless you are in the mtns). We are warmish and sunny all year 'round.
KDamericano 03-04-2006, 09:55 AM of course 2 weeks ago it was like -15 outside. But that's just all part of the allure. -15 one day, 75 the next...
regg01 03-04-2006, 01:36 PM I have preliminary information about a semi-meet/promotional event in early May. I will post details as they formulate. It will be in Southeast Aurora-Hampden and Tower area. Take it easy, folks!
