Looks nice man.. I need that regultor. I am still running the Malpassi and it does weird things at static pressure over 50.

summit racing is the place to buy it. i think its about $129. its a great deal for what you get and from many people i heard that its better then that sx which cost more. so you win both ways.

Was there any prep work involved before painting or did you just paint the bare metal?

first i cleaned the manifold with engine degreaser then i hosed it off. then i used throttle body cleaner and scrubbed it down. then i hosed it down again and let it sit in my back yard and dry. once dry i masked off all of the parts that dont need paint and set in it the middle of my garage on a piece of wood and lightly primered it. i probably put 20 light coats of white primer over about 3 hours. then i let it sit for an hour and spray light coats of red. i kept spraying coats until i ran out of paint. a half of can of spray paint would do the job, but i wanted lots of layers to make it thick.

Looks really nice man. Did you do the parallel fuel conversion why you were at it?

well i haven't really installed anything yet. i only have the intake manifold at my house. the engine is still at the shop.

exactly how much work is required in taking off the intake manifold


also anyone have tips on getting the stock intercooler with the stock Y pipe back on. that thing gives me nightmares

put the y pipe on the intercooler first. then put the intercooler on and then you only have one hose to put over the turbo. once you have dont it 10 times you get good.

has anyone painted theirs blue instead?

Yea, that or black.

i think black would make everything look too dark

I like red and blue. Heres my 5.oL blue AND red. The heads are blue, valve covers,block and pan are red. The radiator brackets were blue and hoses were blue. It all went well in a black mustang gt

well if you get it to me by 12:00 noon i can have it done by 6:00 pm that day. then you will need to let it sit for a day to dry completely.
