I figure in about 2 months I will be running a 7 PSI turbo on my RS putting out close to 100 more HP and 100 more ft-lbs. of torque. Knowing that 1st gen RS trannies can be broken even with stock RS power, which gears are the weakest. From what I've read, that if you launch too hard you can grind off the teeth in 1st or break the synchros. The same from powershifting from 1st to 2nd. What about powershifting from 2nd to 3rd, or 3rd to 4th? Also isn't the 5th gear synchro weak as well?

Don't power shift. Just don't do it. As for weakest gear, I'd say 1st.
Don't power shift and be dumping the clutch at 6 grand, that will make quick work of any tranny in your car.

1st and 2nd gear seem to be the ones to always die. That and the synchros.
Somebody broke a 4th gear? Power shifting it? You would think that with the car already in motion that there would be less stress on that gear. That and its actually a decent sized gear compared to 1st and 2nd.

2nd gear is usually the worst because it sees a good amount of power and torque compaires to the rest.

I am an automatic driver, so what is power shifting BTW?
Its shifting without letting off of the gas. You can also damage the gears and synchros by shifting too fast at high RPMs.
