so i have this idea....... yes my brain hurts from actually thinking....
well since i munched my bumper today and i need a new one. im trying to see what my options are. being that im not a huge fan of aftermarket body stuff ill probably end up with a OEM one. BUT!!!!!!!! now heres what i got the gears moving to produce. saab 9-2x front clip....... i think that would be totally cool. IMO its the best front end that an Impreza has ever had. now i have no idea how ide go about getting one, or how much it would cost, or if it would fit. it would need to be the fenders, lights, bumper and hood i believe, anything else??? what do you guys think? now ill probably be selling my bike very soon, and if i do, i will have a few grand in the bank to work with. ALSO: anyone know how well any of the FMIC's fit behind that bumper? just a thought, would appreciate some feedback.

Weeeeelll, IMO I have always liked the JUN Front bumper for the bugeye wrx. I know, I know, its a body kit thing. But you can fit a HUGE fmic if you felt like it behind that bumper. Still looks kinda stockish too, just a tad lower, and you can retain your fogs too.

Whatever you end up using in the way of front end sheetmetal you might want to avoid the factory Impreza RS (no scoop) hood if you go FMIC - it'll be heavier because it's not aluminum like the bugeye WRX hood. A steel hood is weight added in the worst possible place for handling - mounted up high and forward.

Yeah, don't forget that the 92x is a wagon, with the narrower track. Youve got suspension that's wider underneath the front end, so you'd end up with a weird looking hybrid, with box flares in the back, and narrow front fenders.....

fiberglass is poop!
if you go aftermarket, make sure to find a ABS plastic or Urethane kit.
you'll thank me later!
OE kits IMO are the best fit/finish/longterm durability.
luckily STi makes some nice pieces as well as a few others.

i like the bugeye better than the ***** eye. LOL
looks like ill be going with the OEM bumper. after i get my FMIC installed, so i can make sure i cut the new one just right if i need to.
looks like my bike is for sale, so im planning on an STi driveline.
