15psi.....13psi....now 10??????? whats happenin
first off let me liste my mods.......
Helix downpipe
hks hi power catback
vishnu uppipe
autometer boost gauge
when i first purchased my car, it did not have the TBE or the Boost gauge. after christmas time i installed both the TBE and the boost gauge and saw huge gains.
after the install i was getting great pull but my boost gauge was going 12 psi in 1st gear, 15psi in 2nd gear and almost 18psi in 3rd. i wasnt sure why the boost was so high but i figured it was my car getting use to the no cats. after a few days i realized that i wasnt even gettin 10 psi in first gear and only about 10-11 psi in 2nd 3rd gear. this concerned me i thought that stock boost was 13.5, but sometimes when i lay into thye throttle in 2nd or 3rd it will go to 13-14psi. why is my car constantly changing.
I live in central new jersey can the weather effect myt car this much? because it seems that when there is cold dry air is when it is running best.
anyone know of any problem this could be? i would like my boost to be consistant all the time. i am confident in my boost gauge installl. i dont think the gauge is ready wrong so whats the deal!

have you had any tuning done?
if the ECU hears knock it will pull boost and also could retard timing if necessary.
when you put a free flowing exhaust system like you have the engine can run alot leaner then with the stock exhaust
the mapping in the computer wont allow enough fuel to compensate for this sometimes
i recommend getting it tuned if you have not already, for one you will get more power and it should solve your problem also.
also makesure you dont have a exhaust leak at the uppipe connections
