Test results for Helix RNA (264 / 9.6mm) camshafts

Hey guys,

Wanted to post up some test data for the Helix RNA camshafts. The idle is great (not perceivably worse than stock), the low end power loss is slight, and the mid-range to top end power was very impressive (20+ whp!). This was all done on a 2.0 car, these cams should absolutely rock on a 2.5 bottom end. Graphs are below. Cheers

Gary

What is the install cost on these camshafts and valvetrain?

By itself, the cost is probably about $1500 because the motor has to come in and out, the heads have to come on and off, and the valve lash has to be set. You'll also need new headgaskets and head studs. It's best to do this if you're doing a shortblock with it; that way you'll only have to pay for the heads on and off and motor in and out once.

Thanks,

Geoff
