Bahahha, this thread is funny on so many levels... Where do I start, how about the natomas meets. What I found funny was I went to that meet knowing the dungeons and dragon mafia doesn't like me, but I figured what the hey, a couple of actual car enthusiats who are into making their cars fast would be there, so I will go shoot the **** with them and then leave. I had no intentions to talk to you, nor anyone else when I was there... but little to my dismay what happens the second I show up... I get a group of you asking me how th car was running.. hell I even got some appologies for saying the **** that you guys say online... infact everyone acted really nice to me... Then I staed while everyone went to eat then who pulls up?? Matt... I was like oh great if someone is actually gunna act like they do online its gunna be him... little did I know he jumps out of his car happy as could be telling me I should come eat with you guys and why am I standing in the parking lot... I had to fight back the laughter....

Yes SRIC is in WHOLE a "local car club" but honestly how much of a club would you say it is... Look around how many people browse the boards, now go look at a daily thread, or just any thread in general... It's filled with "the main group" of people, that's it... every now and then some ass hats(mainly Zoeb :p) come over from the BAIC and post, but as a whole it's not much of a club but a chat room for the group to talk... If a new person tries to come in and talk you guys welcome him, but with the inside jokes and when they come out to the meet you don't really talk to them, people pretty much feel like an outcast. I am not here actually to e-thug because I have no attentions to be little most of you. What pisses me off the most about "the main group" is if they don't agree with your opinion it turns into a 30 page thread about why you are a ****ing idiot, basically you aren't allowed to say what you want on the SRIC without getting pounced on... So Naturally me being the Stubborn kid that I am, I go the opposite way and instead of holding back my opinion I feel the need to state it with every chance that I get, it's not attended to "E-Thug" The Reason that I post on here is mainly to look around and see what's happening in the Subaru community and information about local shops. That being said since the main group are all real-life friends and not just car club friends, what came into play with me personally and ended up costing me thousands on thousands of dollars(damn near 10g's) was that only ONE opinion is allowed on these boards and that's it. So When I asked about S-Squared you all acted like they where ****ing the greatest shop ever made, and could make a 2.5L look like a v10 BEAST, but instead all I got was an intake manifold full of oil, a horrible tune, and ****ed up piston rings out of the deal.. So from that point on I decided that I wasn't going to hold back my opinion even if the "main group" didn't agree with it, because in the end I might save someone losing their money like I did... The rest of the bull**** I say is just that, bull****..

Yup, you are right. I have been out to more then one... I have been to three... One when I first joined... One with me and BlkVnm, and then the one in the passed couple weeks.. I join 06-08-05, it is now 01-19-05 so in 7 months I have come three times... there is about 4 Saturdays a month, so outta 28 meets I have come to 3.... so about 10% of the meets, that's not counting all the other gettogethers that I haven't shown up for either, so I really don't bother coming to the meets... No I'm not trying to impress you with how many tuners I talk to,

Mainly just in spite is why I continue to do it... I have told you I'm a stubborn person, so when i get randomly called out in threads that I haven't even posted in by people saying **** about me when I'm not "LookingForAttention", I feel the need to reply out of common courtesies ;) As stated in my Peeing thread my E-Penis is very small, to the point i need tweezers and a microscope, so that just isn't the case, the Dungeons and Dragon mafia is suppose to be a joke, I'm not if some of you even know what a joke is anymore, because I have yet to see many of you take a joke, I don't feel I'm better then anyone because my car is fast, because as stated in a previous thread my car can only go fast in a straight line right now(which I hate, buying an sti to go straight is ****ing retarded). I had no attentions to make my car a drag only car, and wanted to be on the track right up Egan's and LowBall's ass aggravating them in a way that actually matters, not bull**** internet crap, but right now since my car goes through oil so fast I could never run around a 20 minute road course at full throttle... The car would be out of oil before the heat was over, Once I build my motor the turbo will spool ALOT lower, and I will actually be able to go for that "SRIC fastest around T-Hill trophy", because in reality that's all I even care about. To me the only thing I care about is what is out on the track, not what is said on here. I NEVER take anything anyone says seriously online, and my impressions of each and everyone of you have nothing to do with the **** you guys have said online, I actually think some of you are pretty cool from what I have seen in person, because that's the only impression that matters to me.

It seems to me that people forget, if you insult a close friend, it's good-natured ball-busting. If you insult a stranger or basic acquaintance, it's an insult.

People have asked him to tone it down, and he either doesn't understand how to, or refuses to. That makes him either an idiot, or an *******, both types of people I don't care to associate with.

But LFP isn't the only offender. In general, this forum has turned into a dramatic, e-thugging, gossip circle. Everyone takes every chance to lean into whoever it is that's pissing them off. As much as I love the WRX and the STi, those cars brought the mainstream to Subaru. This failure has been a long time coming. People like LFP, BV96, and you (it seems) are just symptoms of the fact that people have left their hondas, DSMs, 240s, etc and moved over to Subarus, bringing with them their egos, bull****, bad grammar, and "import lifestyle". It's a big deal to many of us because we worked very hard building the Subaru scene, and we worked hard to prevent it from becoming the same crap that you see on NOPI TV. Failing sucks... especially when your work gets inherrited by a bunch of classless fools.

The WRX is my track car. The SVX is my daily driver. And I'd trade 'em both for a 22b that's not as fast as the track car, and not as nice as the daily driver.

FWIW, the traditional domestic crowd is exactly the same as the traditional import crowd. I used to be a Ford guy myself... 'course I had a 4.6L Thunderbird. Mustang guys are just like Civic guys, the only difference is the car they use as a means to inflate their egos.

You need to get pretty high up in the domestic scene before you meet some cool people. I suggest you post over at www.corner-carvers.com to meet the fellas I'm talking about. They'd love you.

FWIW, the traditional domestic crowd is exactly the same as the traditional import crowd. I used to be a Ford guy myself... 'course I had a 4.6L Thunderbird. Mustang guys are just like Civic guys, the only difference is the car they use as a means to inflate their egos.

You need to get pretty high up in the domestic scene before you meet some cool people. I suggest you post over at www.corner-carvers.com to meet the fellas I'm talking about. They'd love you.


I actually would agree with you, I found that the subaru community is almost as good as the VW community... I seriously don't think you can beat the love vdub owners have for each other. Personally I don't know the subaru seen much but from what you have said, I can honestly see where you are coming from I tend to get along with and get more help from evo8 owners then I do from most of the local subaru people, I wave to alot of STI owners and alot of them will look the other way then try to race you to boost their already big evo's... When I am driving, I get more waves and have more conversations with evo owners then alot of subaru owners.... I miss the vdub community :(

From things I've heard from other people that have dealt with him in person, he sounds like a kid that doesnt know anything about his car, and is hoping having the "fastest STi in SRiC" will make him cool.

LFP, its not everyone attacking you, and you just defending yourself....there was a thread not too long ago with some pictures from Monterey and you were talking **** to my buddy saying you'll take him on Sunset. For someone that doesnt enjoy the bull **** the SRiC dishes out....you sure dish out a lot of your own bull ****. Grow up, welcome to the real world. Not everyone is going to like you. No one cares what you have to say.

Umm, you must not know me at all... because I actually do know what's going on with my car, in fact a lot more then some local shops that where in the area... I have had to fix everything that was installed on my car, myself. I have built motors, I have built almost entire cars... Trust me I know more then you think I do...

but i know what your talkin about, a lot of the domestic guys are tools that think their stock GT is hot ****. our group is a little beyond that. lots of well built and thought out, fast cars and the owners know whats up and gice respect where its due. as in LFP's sistuation.
You're missing the point. I don't respect someone for their car. All it takes to have a fast car is money. The people with fast cars that think their cars mean something are the people that are ruining the subaru scene.

I don't mod my car so other people will say "damn, that thing is fast!", I mod it because I love to drive, and I love to race. The mods are for me, something that the ricers and the non-enthusiasts don't seem to understand. But for those that do understand, those that I've met through this subaru community, they're the closest friends I've ever made. It's because of people like them that I'm wasting my time posting this crap... I feel like I owe it to the rest of the community to give you the chance to find what I've found, to learn what I've learned.

i think the point is that SRIC started out as a fairly close knit group that was mostly in their mid 20's and up, work in a mostly technical field, and are somewhat geeky.

now SRIC is full of n00b's who traded in their civic's and gti's for wrx's and sti's.

The WRX is my track car. The SVX is my daily driver. And I'd trade 'em both for a 22b that's not as fast as the track car, and not as nice as the daily driver.

I have a modified car but i bought it because i love everything about it including the history behind it.
