anyone know where i can get some BRIGHT YELLOW bulbs for my foglights on MY04 WRX? :tia:

I tried the Hella ones and didn't like them because they are not yellow enough for my taste. (Bulbs only partially coated yellow)

I just purchased a set of Nokya yellow bulbs off ebay and they are much more yellow than the Hellas. (The whole bulb is coated yellow)

However, when I place my hand on the fog lens, I noticed that the Nokya bulbs generate much more heat than the Hella ones (I think it is also due the full VS partial yellow coatings). I would guess that the Nokya ones will not be as durable as the hella ones.


One more thing to watch out for the ebay Nokya bulbs is that some of the sellers are selling fake Nokya bulbs, so be careful when you buy.

Nokya bulbs are crap and have been known to damage headlight harnesses due to excess heat, I doubt their fogs are any better.
In general you should stick with stock wattage bulbs for both fogs and headlights to avoid overloading the wiring and damaging the connectors. Also the added heat can cause the light housings to discolor over time, and those high-watt bulbs don't last as long as stock wattage ones.

how bout the Lamin-x yellow foglight covers

i was thinkin bout lamin-x but i kinda wanna keep them clear..i only want them yellow when i turn them on

I had PIAA Ion Crystals (I think that's the name) which is a yellow bulb so your fogs look clear when they're off.
