Does anyone know if this mod can be done on an impreza? this is on a JDM SVX. basically theres a switch where you can control the sidemirrors to make it automatically fold in and out. This can be helpful for people that need to park in tight spots (like me) :p Anyone know any info on these? so far looks kind of like the stock mirrors, possibly just a motor inside?

How tight of spots are you parking in, not like subies have some huge mirrors sticking out. I'm sure it can be done, just need power, a switch, motor and an actuator (I think that is what you would call it) What subie do you have? That would help out it determining a method.

my friend has that on his crx.

japan gets all the good stuff. he just bought the jdm mirrors and put them in, it wasn't very hard to install, i am sure you could pretty easily modify the svx mirrors to work on your 2.5rs

The 22b came with mirrors like that. Some say that they foldwhen the car gets to a certain speed. I say poppycock, it's for tight parking. Who's right?

OK, I thought you meant like in parking lots. I was thinking you were parking close enough to people where your mirror would almost hit. I thought to myself, jeez, park further away from the crowds and save the door dings.

Something like the Forester side mirrors on the Foresters are heated for those that live where it snows or gets cold. I've had a few cars now with that option and to be honest I think I've only used the folding mirror thing once or twice.

All the JDM WRX comes with those electric folding mirrors. I have the switch but not the mirrors. I think most of the cars in Japan has it.
In Japan, they fold the mirrors sometimes when they meet with cars from opposite direction in narrow roads. Also it's usuful in parking. It's hard to imagine for Americans how tight some roads are in other countires.

not so sure if all of them come with it. i think its an option but nevertheless, subaru does have them for the impreza.

I'm pretty sure it's standard on WRX and WRX STi in Japan. but not on RA.
The optional part is the tilting feature. When you put in reverse, the mirror part tilts down automatically so that you can see the ground better, that's optional.

 $330+ on ebay and its not even a complete set! did they have the folding mirrors on the GC8 models also or just their GD's? anyone have the part #'s for the parts needed? I assume this would be just plug and play?

What is the part # for those JDM STI mirrors (with the tilt option), are they heated?
