Toyo T1-R's 245/35-16 & 225/40-16 Scary

Just noticed in my Les Schwab (West Coast) Monthly Tire flyer Newpaper that Les now carries 225/40ZR-16's and 245/35ZR-16's in the Toyo Proxes T1-R. Scary

That's what I though at first too so I looked and there's also a 245/35-18 listed.

The 245/35-16's are listed at $172.97, the 245/35-18 are $217.46. for the Toyo Proxes T1-R's at Les Schwab.

Don't Know,

Then Toyo is making 2 very odd sized tires available only to one of their distributors? That does not make sense. Besides, those sizes are too small for an Impreza anyway. Who cares, unless you want some fat rollers on your Metro...

It's in the Les Schwab's little sales newpaper you can pick-up at their store. Yeah you are correct, it would drop the wrx way to low. I'm wondering why they made the 245/35-16 in the first place. If Les made a 245/40-16, I'd sell my 17x7.5 ssr comps and get somebody's super light 16x8 for the better gearing ratio and lower profile. Oh Well.

Toyo had the 225/40-16 available in the T1-S and I'm glad they are producing it in the new T1-R too.

I use them on my Alfa Romeo Milano with 16 x 7s and they work very, very well. They keep the gearing stock as the car originally had 195/55-15s.

Too bad I dont have my 240sx anymore... i had 16x8 +10 offsets on it. was using 245/45/16 Yokohama ES100's on them, because i could'nt find anyone else that made that kinda size. Woulda been nice... lol

edit: i'm bored and reading around... realized i just revived a fairly old thread. I'm a moron, sorry.
