View Full Version : Updated pics of my BE Hiroki 03-11-2003, 04:20 PM Whats new is its lowered 45mm with whiteline control coils. JDM rear tails and centre section. Hiroki 03-11-2003, 04:25 PM . Hiroki 03-11-2003, 04:26 PM as you can see its riding pretty low Hiroki 03-11-2003, 04:31 PM last one for the lights. Hiroki 03-11-2003, 04:33 PM I had washed it about a day earlier but with the salt and slush up here it is impossible to keep a black car looking clean. Flames/Comments are welcome. :) ted1186 03-11-2003, 04:45 PM Looks awesome, those tails are sweet. How's the ride with the new coils? Imprezer 03-11-2003, 04:57 PM The springs are specifically made for the BE? Hiroki 03-11-2003, 05:07 PM ted1186 - Whiteline says its about 30% stiffer but I seriously dont feel a difference. Imprezer - Yeah, I can get you the p# if you want, just have to dig through my receipts. Whiteline advertised them as a direct replacement for OEM pieces. I was able to use the stock strut hats and perches along with the shocks. Tho I will be upgrading to KYB AGX's. I suppose I could have gone with coilovers but considering Im a college student and looking forward to a massive student debt, 400$cdn for the springs looked mighty attractive. Hiroki 03-11-2003, 05:09 PM Here ya go Alex, http://www.whiteline.com.au/docs/catalogues/WS3_Cover_inside_a.jpg Remember we're listed as Liberty's and that the BE/BH's arrived there in 99. omahasubaru 03-12-2003, 01:50 PM Prodrive just came out with lowering spring for the US spec BE Legacy. Ryan @ Irvine was talking with me about them the other day. I'm considering them for my Wife's '02 Legacy, but can't quite convice her on it. Now that we put her 17" wheels/tires on last night, she's considering it more with the fender gap on there. Thanks - Jon mafiaryan 03-12-2003, 02:12 PM so they just bolted right up??? DUDE>>>> can you give me the name of the store that you bought the springs from and the exact part number??? NO prblems bolting up??? mafiaryan 03-12-2003, 02:12 PM forgot to ask... did you put them in yourself???? Imprezer 03-12-2003, 02:36 PM Damn! I was waiting for springs. Couldn't wait longer and ordered CUSCO ZERO-2's. Arg! Oh well, CUSCO's never killed anybody. ;) mafiaryan 03-12-2003, 02:40 PM if i get the springs, ill trade you straight across.... hey I try to help where i can Hiroki 03-12-2003, 07:52 PM Part numbers are on that link I posted up there. And yes THEY BOLTED RIGHT UP. Nothing was amiss. Install was done by the shop that I bought the coils at. Im not too sure you can change coils by yourself as when you disassemble the strut tower you'll have to clamp the coil down or you'll have a violent uncompression of a coil. Also unless you have an air compressor and impact wrenches at home it'll be a very labourous task if you had to do all that torqueing by hand. However, I was watching and helped out when they did the install. The hardest thing for those guys was possibly to find the damned strut-hat bolts of the rear multilink. You'll have to take your rear sets off, peel back the sound deadner and it'll be about about a 5 or 6 inches down from the top of the wheel wells. Everything else seemed very straightforward. Hiroki 03-12-2003, 07:53 PM btw. this is where i got it done www.adpmotorsport.com mafiaryan 03-12-2003, 08:12 PM thanks for the info man, you have finally made my dream come true.hahahahhah..... I e-mailed them to see how fast they could get them here, to the states..... I could probally find a distributor here, but sisnce these springs actually worked... it is a major improvement over the dealers here,,,,, thanks again man Hiroki 03-12-2003, 08:21 PM np. it took my a hella long time to find these. might as well make someone elses life easier. just remember to take pics and show off the bling!! also, the new whiteline range is in yellow. so it looked quite nice on my black car. sent you a pm as well. go go go 03-13-2003, 06:44 AM Nice. I love BE. It's a car with tons of potencial modifying. Do you have another set of rims for summer? Your car is craving for rims I think. Man it looks cold over there, we are in T-shirts and getting tan here in California, haha. Hiroki 03-13-2003, 11:10 PM I do have 17"s for the summer but by those pics you could tell why it was necessary to store the summers and throw the stockers/re92's back on. Its not that cold, only about -20C so about 1-2F. A mild winter we've been having up here. ;) btw, I feel sorry for your scoobies, they'll never get to experience going sideways through 5-6 inches of snow across a parking lot at 60-70km/h. And salt-encrusted paint never looks good unless its on a subaru. mafiaryan 03-13-2003, 11:28 PM hey man, just wanted to thankyou for the recco. on those guys up in canada... sent me an email right back and told me i could get the springs in two days!!!!!!!!!! He was just going to quote me a price with the duty tax and stuff, but i dont have a problem paying extra money when the service is going to be good. After all the crap i dealt with trying to find springs for this car it is very refreshing. BTW that guy, brendan i think, said you had a "really clean looking car" thanks again man Ryan cardin555 03-14-2003, 06:04 AM Nice! Were the tails on at the meet on sunday? I did not even notice. Even though I have an Impreza (still) nice to see guys looking out for the Legacy crowd. SSR 03-14-2003, 09:41 PM nice nice I heard from someone that you need impreza top mount in order for the front whitelines to fit.. A few questions: 1. Did you just replace the rear corner tails with JDM ones or did you replace the entire assembly, which includes the middle. Whats the part # and where did you get it? 2. Where did you get the B4 grill? Whats the part #? Hiroki 03-15-2003, 02:23 AM hmm Im guessing you're trying to do a JDM conversion too. The lights are JDM parts so it consisted of 3 pieces, the two tails and the centre piece. Grille is from A/C revision and is direct replacement. I bought all my parts used from Japan and got them shipped here so I dont know any part #'s. SSR 03-15-2003, 05:03 PM If you don't mind me asking, how much was the grill? I'm very interested in getting one..can you find me one or give me a site to get one? jumper 06-21-2003, 08:59 AM hi just wondering wot did the original tail ligth section look like? the pictures said you put in JDM tail lights..hhm...they look totally stock. they are exactly the same as the setup on my car i'm from aus so dunno... and the head lights look the same too except its totally clear on the australian model. is that wot all the "baking" topic is about? cuz could'nt understand why u guys were taking ur headligths apart when u can just swap the orange bulb. ?:\ here is some pics of the headlights on my car http://members.austarmetro.com.au/~uptime2000/SIMG0238.jpg http://members.austarmetro.com.au/~uptime2000/SIMG0237.jpg 2000Legacy 03-06-2005, 06:57 PM The BE looks a lot like a standard Legacy GT, which is what i have. You seemed informative on this forum so i figured Id ask. Does anyone know anything for a 2000 Legacy GT Limited? I actually want to get some BE headlights i dont know what they are though they just look awsome, I want some nice Stuts, Lights, and hood so in time i can put a turbo on this. Thanks DLC 03-07-2005, 10:29 AM BE/BH = 2000-2004 Legacy chassis designation. |
